Now that BJ is finally the LW champ, and is considered one of the top pound for pound fighters in the world, do you think that he will come back up to the WW division, to maybe fight Hughes for a third time or the fight that we all want to see against GSP for the second time.

I hope he just doesn't come back up too soon. I'd love to see him hold both belts, and establish himself the best pound for pound fighter in the world, but he needs to beat Sherk first.

Pretty sure he will. If he beats sherk, i'm guessing he'll defend the belt once more and go up to ww.

Id be angry if he comes back up to WW after only beating Sherk and then one other defense when there are so many young and upcoming lightweights that are on the edge of contender status.
IMO the only time a beltholder should start looking to other divisions is when he has completely exhausted the list of guys in his division that deserve a title shot (Anderson Silva is the only current UFC champion in that position).

title holders should worry about defending their titles.
I love BJ in any weight cat. But I'd like to see him cement a legacy as the single greatest at one weight ever.

I think he might, possibly throw an offer to fight matt hughes for hughes last fight unless matt hughes want to fight serra(pending serra loses to gsp)
i think once bj loses to sherk he might move up and try to get another match with hughes or gsp or fight karo
but if he beats sherk i'd said he defend the title againest the winner of huerta vs florian if that fight happens and then move up.

providing bj beats sherk(i think he will IMO) he should take out the rest of the division but will probly just move up and fight GSP providing he win(again i think he will IMO) so it would give the ufc enough time to do all these ww matchs they need to determine whos fighting GSP, 8 wins ye fitch does deserve his shot but chris wilson, for real he's going too beat him and get a shot?? thats like rashad fighting a couple more top 20s and getting a shot at LHW title, fitch needs to fight a top 10 for his shot IMO(ye i know ill hear about this one)

IMO he should stay at 155 and be the most dominant LW champ ever. On the other hand a fight between Bj and Serra on the ground would be an all time great fight. i dont think he will move back up but who knows

im hearing people say that serra has a better chance to beat GSP than penn and i laugh very hard, you could easily make the argument that that fight was a draw or could have been a split decision for either of them, i personally have penn at #1 at LW and WW

There are sensible rematches with welterweights Hughes, St. Pierre and Serra that could be made. He has no problem competing at WW and at least two of them couldn't make LW so I think he probably will if he holds the LW title for a few defenses.

After he beats Sherk and kenflo, the only clear contenders right now who actually deserve title shots IMO, then he might go back up for revenge on Hughes if he's not retired, and GSP, two fights in which I think he'd win if he's as well trained as he is now!
