On April 19th in Montreal, Travis Lutter and Rich Franklin will face off in a bout to determine who rises to the top of the UFC’s Middleweight landscape. While Franklin has donned UFC gold in the past, Travis Lutter remains unacquainted with the Middleweight strap, but is confident that it will only be a matter of time. MMAFrenzy.com’s Eric Shapiro recently had the opportunity to speak personally with former TUF Alum and Brazilian JiuJitsu specialist Travis Lutter, who shared his thoughts on upcoming opponent Rich Franklin, The Ultimate Fighter series, a grudge against Anderson Silva, and everything in between. Enjoy.

It's too bad Silva, Lutter and Franklin all have to be in the same weight class. All of them show a lot of class talking about each other and they all have they champion mindset.

Really, I hate that guy, he's all talking shit on Anderson...saying his fight with Anderson is a fluke....I say him getting a fight with Anderson was the fluke....so hope Rich wipes the mat with him!

I think Rich will have his hands full. Even though Lutter didnt make weight I think he gave Silva they best run for his money out of any of the contenders. That includes Hendo, and Franklin, who fought him twice . If Lutter gets past Franklin(which i have picked, sub 2nd rnd) i hope he gets another shot at the spider. Keep in m ind Anderson Silva is my favorite fighter when i say this.

I totally agree with you on "Rich having his hands full" and Lutter giving Silva a run for his money. Lutter had Silva in his stickiest situation yet (IMO), but he just couldn't capitalize. I too would love to see a Lutter/Silva rematch.
