It’s finally here: the 13th installment of the live fight show that is part of what took the Ultimate Fighting Championship to new heights. Returning to Colorado – the birthplace of the UFC – to the Broomfield Event Center is the largest organization in the world. Kenny Florian and Joe Lauzon will square off in a lightweight bout to end the night, but this card is packed with 11 other fights, each and every one of them more compelling than the last. The event is going to be three hours on Spike TV, and it will be followed by the premiere of The Ultimate Fighter 7, where Forrest Griffin and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson will be coaches before they fight for Jackson’s light heavyweight title this summer. This will be a great night for any fight fan, and you’ll be sorry if you miss it. Let’s get started with the breakdown.

your rationale for the fights is a little iffy, and wouldnt make me think(by reading this piece) that you know all that much about mma.

Wow, this is almost sherdog-esque...
Interesting that I've been getting praise from the likes of Terry Bush and even Joe Rogan since I have little to no knowledge of the sport.

Just ignore the sherdoggers. They are like women if you ignore them long enough they go away. And yes this forum has been going downhill lately. But oh well what can we do.
By the way nicely written article. I don't agree with everything but at least you have your thoughts published on a website and mine are still in my head.

Good analysis, although i dont agree with the analysis on the george vs mitichyan fight, its an opinion based article so i dont have a problem with it. Overall good picks and analysis on the fights. i really hope you are wrong with neer vs Thomas though Good job

As an MMA Columnist, I appreciate reading other peoples writings on these events. Don't worry about people saying things to you as they've done the same to me. However, your Win/Loss Record does show that you need work in predicting fights.

Kenny won and for me that's all that matters, yeah I got 6 out of 12 fights right not the best by any means but Florian won that's it.

Also HOW ABOUT THIAGO ALVES WOW well I guess Karo doesn't have to worry about when he's getting a title shot anymore. I have to say St Pierre and Alves could be very interesting. Diaz is something else that's for sure, took a beating and won pretty easily in the 2nd, good show. Anthoney Johnson WOW, what a a** kicking. Irvin 8 seconds haha oh geez Houston what to think about this guy. Maynard and Hamil good performances, good wins.
