Strikeforce's main event bout could go down on the nominee ballot as one of the best matchups of the year. It provided us with excitement, anticipation, and a fantastic striking war between two iron chinned athletes. We'll talk about the main event and the rest of the card including some analysis on what's next for the fighters in EliteXC/Strikeforce in this edition of MMA Analytics.

Excellent war between Le and Shamrock, and the whole event was better than expected. I'm sick of ppl calling it a fixed fight...BULLSHIT, and anyone assuming a worked fight is a backwoods wrestling retard...Stay out of mma and go jack off to wrestlemania.

I hope those rumors about melendez's next possible opponent are true. I would love to see him fight masvidal or thomson. Those are much better opponents that Gabe Lemley.

Besides the main event...it stunk.
Thats typical though....a bunch of mismatches.
You would think with all of the organizations that EliteXc has bought and or co opted with that they would have some depth.....not.
Their divisions aren't even puddle deep.
I think eventually they will have a solid group of decent fighters....but that will take a few years.
I think EliteXc needs to organize, pool ALL their fighters and unify all their titles.
They are going way too fast and they are way too disorganized.
It shows me how little they care about MMA, the fighters or the fans and that they are just looking at $$$$$$. Someone doesn't know what the hell they are doing.
Get Goldberg out of there already, give Mauro some Valium and you have a good start.
Ok...I am done ranting.
