ummmm...that logic isn't cut out for this type of question. Rich Franklin is way too talented to be a gatekeeper and is definitely in the top 3 MW. i think he can beat everyone in that division save for Anderson and Henderson although a fight with Henderson would be very interesting. a gatekeeper is someone that is used as a litmus test to see if you are a worthy talent or not. pretty much it is to test whether you are top 10 material or not. Rich Franklin is up in the top echelon of the division so in no way is he a gatekeeper imo. Chris Leben is appropriate for the MW gatekeeper, or maybe even Patrick Cote but Rich franklin is too talented. saying Franklin is a gatekeeper is like saying Big Nog was a gatekeeper when Fedor was champion...just doesn't make sense.

i think a gate keeper has to be someone that is relatively well rounded, or else the gate keeper can only test a certain type of fighter.

Spencer fisher shouldnt be on there, for that reason.

Din thomas has the talent to beat ALOT of top LW's so i would say hes above that.

Please don't think of Koscheck as a gate keeper he is way too talented for that, deserves a title shot sooner or later.

LW - Din Thomas
WW - ??
MW - Leben or Sakara maybe?
LHW - Gouiveia, Bonnar, Lambert
HW - Sanchez, Herring maybe

A Gate Keeper by my definition is somebody who is wellrounded, has the ability to crack the top bottom of the top 10 list (9 or 10)...but would never ever be a champion, or top contender in their brand.

LW: Fisher
WW: Lytle
MW: Leben
LHW: Bonnar
HW: Shancez
