Can't anybody stay healthy anymore? Sheesh. '07 was "year of the upset"; '08 will be "year of the training injury."

I dare say this is the last Strikeforce card we're putting up in secondary. I'm glad they called the event Shamrock vs. Le, because thats going to be the only fight worth watching on it.

People need to train less if they are going to continue and getting injured.
Imagine you bought a plane ticket, and hotel night, and tickets to the fight for your family, or friends. Then to have this happen to you, but your screwed, unless you lose money and sell them for less. You are forced to go. Lucky it doesnt happen to main fights alot. So good to see Lee and Shamrock still in take for now ;-)
All I know is these guys need to take better care of themselves, and train less.
Nothing worse to the sport and fans then injuries like these in BIG fights.

I think Sheilds handled that interview like a spoiled rich kid.

I had money on it. If Drew destroys a late replacement...Fickett wont be much of an underdog vs. a recently injured Sheilds...and when he wins I wont make as much money as I would have.

Wonder when he will get back, this was a better fight than Frank vs Le IMO

Since it hasn't been mentioned yet, Sherdog reports 2 related items to this: 1-Fickett will still fight Saturday if they can find a licensed opponent.
2-If Fickett wins, the title fight against Shields will take place on EXC's June 14 event (on Showtime).
