Last week Strikeforce world middleweight champion Frank Shamrock accused his adoptive brother, Ken Shamrock, of being a longtime user of steroids. Today, Ken issued a statement to MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) to counter the claims, saying they are "absolutely false."

It's not about what Frank knows, it's what he can prove. Ken never got caught with steroids and as far as I am concerned, he's never taken them.

The only way I'll believe Ken is if Frank can't come up with evidence and he's just still trying to promote the fight with even more bad blood. but what a lame way to advertise if thats the case.

Shouldnt it be the other way round? Franks the one making the accusations without the evidence so i dont know why anybody would not beleive ken and beleive him at this point.

glad someone else caught that, a very subtle thing like that would be easy to overlook. im not saying ken is intentionally being misleading but it definitely could be taken that way.

Lets remember who it is making these comments about Ken... This is coming from the guy who called Renzo a quitter after he illegally struck him in the back of the head (which I believe he did intentionally). Frank would probably say the same thing about his grandmother if he thought it would make him look good. I hope Cung Le beats him up and embarreses him for 5 rounds.
Not saying he did or didnt take roids, just that I dont believe anything coming out of Frank's mouth.

it was more at the fact that if someones never been caught with them then they haven't done them.
these guys got the cycling down to an exact science, so it shouldn't be hard to not get caught. Unless ur Sean Sherk.

Ken has already admitted to doing steroids in the past. what he is arguing is that he has since stopped and has actually been a force against steroids. Ken has admitted his past mistakes and is looking to rectify them. this is a non-issue as far as i am concerned because it has already been addressed before and you always have to take anything Frank Shamrock says with a grain of salt.

Don't forget they're not just testing them on a schedule but randomly too. I think it's going to become much harder in the next year to do any kind of roiding. The heads of the organizations know that the sport doesn't need any kind of bad publicity right now. I think more random testing (like once every 2 weeks on random days) plus harsher penalties would deter almost all future attempts at stupidity like that.
