Touch of gloves to CagePotato for putting these two items together. I’m late to the party with this but I felt compelled to add since I’ve become the de facto DREAM fanboy here at 5Oz. First, SukiMMA reported that Kazushi Sakuraba is out of the DREAM.2 middleweight tournament due to an unhealed wound on his leg:

Agreed, him and shamrock are legends and always will be but I think they both need to hang it up.

Damn it, Sakuraba was my favorite to win the whole thing

And he'll retire when he's good and ready. No one tells you guys when to quit your job/life/passion, don't go on imposing restrictions to other fighters. Sakuraba is a true warrior, and I don't get why people are telling him to retire. It's his life, his choice. He loves to fight. Sure he's past his prime, but at least he's still good. Shamrock is dropping fights all over the place, whereas Saku is STILL WINNING.

I'm happy he's still interested in fighting as soon as his leg heals.

agreed, honestly i think he's still got it, the guys that were in that tourney i think he could have beaten them all and won it, Melvin Manhoef is not in it b/c he is headlining the K-1 World GP in Amsterdam in a K-1 rules bout against Peter Aerts on April 26, so im fine with Saku participating in it,
