Despite concerns that the bill might not pass the Maryland senate those concerns were for naught. Maryland's Senate has passed the bill to regulate MMA:
John Rallo, the Canton gym owner who prompted the legalization effort, was thrilled at the vote. "If we would have tried to get it legalized without supplying the stats and making the experts available to testify, I don't think it would have ever gotten passed," he said. "Education was the best way to get what we wanted, and I believed that all along." .

Good stuff. I'm sure the UFC would sell out big time in Baltimore.

I'm shocked there are still bunch of states with laws prohibiting MMA. It takes 1 min for someone to say something is bad but takes them years to say it is good.

Next is DC. The Verizon Center would be a perfect place to hold a MMA event

At our worst we were still better than most. At our best we could just wipe the floor with the lot of them. It was just a very good live band."

Baltimore's a bit far for me but I'd go there to see UFC. It's better than nothing.
