However, Angle never took up the offer - preferring instead to let his words do the talking, and Liddell did not mince his words in belittling his claims. Liddell and the rest of The UFC world witnessed Lesnar’s promising debut, which ultimately highlighted his lack of Mixed Martial Arts as Frank Mir submitted him, and the former two-time UFC light-heavyweight champion is adamant Angle would face the same fate.
“He talks about it all the time, but he hasn’t made any movements towards doing it, to my knowledge he hasn’t done any training or cross-training,” Liddell told Setanta Sports News.
“If he’s just gonna come in and wrestle, he’s going to get beat, you can’t just be a one-dimensional fighter in The UFC".
“I don’t care how good you are, it’s not gonna work.”

I agree that Angle would not fair too well inside the cage (or ring), but I do find it amusing that it is Chuck Liddell saying you can't be a one dimensional fighter inside the cage. I have nothing against Chuck, he is one of my favorite fighters, but I am under no illusions when it comes to the type of fighter he is.

Chuck's sprawl-and-brawl so I guess that's 2D...

Angle may be an olympic gold medalist and that will give him a strong base but at his age it will be hard for him to learn what he needs to learn in the amount of time he has.....If he goes through with training full time in MMA he probably won't have his first fight until he's like 45.....and he is no RANDY COUTURE.

Liddell isn't really all that one dimensional. His wrestling is what stops people from taking him down and making them fight his game plan. Therefore I see that as using more than one style of fighting. Just my two cents.

Yea if Chuck was one dimensional he would have gotten GnP'd or submitted. he's fought guys like Babalu, Randy, and Tito. And stood with all of them because they couldn't have Chuck in their gameplans.

I dont think Chuck is 1 dimensional either. His Wrestling kept guys like tito randy(ok randy got him once), and Horn at bay long enough to land his wicked strikes. but i see how it looks with his KO record

angle should just stay with the wrestling, he would be just like lesnar, and besides the ufc has one former wwe wrestler they don't need two of them

And Chuck cares why? Wish he would shut the f up sometimes, I'm quickly becoming anti-Liddell because he is silly.

Angle would run Kimbo. Angle is a awesome wrestler we all know that, but he has yet to take a punch. but if it was Kimbo vs Angle, Angle all the way, this coming from the biggest hater of WWE/WWF & All that acting shit. but Liddell on the other hand, Chuck Rnd 1 TKO (Knee) will sound summin like this.
Goldie : AND HERE WE GO! This fight is sponsored by Mickys Fine Malt Liq... AND ITS ALL OVER!
