Until someone beats Frank, then Frank is the single best in the world," said Shaw, president of EliteXC Live Events. "And if Cung should beat Frank on March 29 in San Jose, then Cung Le will be the best in the world. And as Frank said, there is no single organization that owns the best fights or the best fighters..
HAHAHAHA...and People hate on Dana for saying stupid things.
Ha!
Yeah that is pretty funny.
Frank is always going to be Frank.

The funny thing about this is i think if you gave Frank a fight with Silva he would find a way to turn it down because he knows he would lose.

This is just an attempt to bring attention their organization. And to press the topic of co-promotion. No more, no less. They are ridiculous.

Whatever. He couldn't even beat Renzo Gracie. What makes him think he could beat anderson. And Silva would sub Cung Le in less than 2 rounds.

Well Shamrock is right about one thing, the UFC doesn't have all the best fighters in MMA, but they do have the majority of them and Anderson Silva is clearly the best in the MW division. I realize Gary Shaw is supposed to support his organization but to state that Until someone beats Frank, then Frank is the single best in the world, and if Cung should beat Frank on March 29 in San Jose, then Cung Le will be the best in the world. And as Frank said, there is no single organization that owns the best fights or the best fighters. But in this case the best fighter in the world, hands down, bar none, for sure, is Frank Shamrock
borders on delusional. To dismiss Silva, who has almost as many title fights in the past year as Shamrock has regular fights within the past 7 years is ludicrous. I like Shamrock and think he is a good fighter, but this isnt 1999 and I feel he would have serious problems with the current UFC top 5, let alone Silva and would regret his statement as soon as he realizes that Silva isnt Baroni, doesnt want to stand and brawl, and oops, those knees hurt like a bitch. I find this to simply be a publicity ploy (*cough* desperate cry for attention/ co-promotion bait *cough cough) by Shaw (that Shamrock is feeding right into) but making outlandish claims wont make anyone take that organization more seriously. Shamrock needs not worry about Silva, but instead focus on Le, who has the ability to whip Shamrock badly. Also, my hat off to Anderson Silva who has to be the classiest MMA fighter on any circuit.
-OUT-
I Agree 100% but i think that the classiest fighter in the world has to be Matt Hamill. I have never seen someone act so proper, with so much poise, even after he loses a fight that he clearly won, personally don't think Silva is that classy, he is a good guy, he gave props too Franklin and all, but he totally dissed Hendo even after he owned his ass. just MO tho. definite Props

thats the dumbest shit i have ever heard silva is by far the best middleweight in the world right now and coming from a guy who is a champ in elitexc that shouldnt mean anything to anyone cause elitexc is a third rate company filled with a bunch of sideshow fighters.

I would like to see F. Shamrock vs Silva. I think Shamrock would stand a chance if Silva couldn't use his hands...or feet...or knees...or elbows...and was blindfolded, and maybe had a cold that particular day.

Still would love to see that fight. Of the guys out there you have to say Frank is one of the few who may have a chance.
Very very true, I think it would make for an entertaining fight at the very least. Frank Shamrock is a crafty bastard. (no actual reference to him being adopted or his past life or anything) but I really keep thinking that someone could beat Anderson and then Anderson destroys them. All he needs is one knee to do the job, and so far nobody has been able to take it to him. As for Shamrock standing with Cung Le, I think its just a head game, but who knows, Shamrock stood with Baroni (not saying a lot these days but hey just thought I'd mention it), I would like to see either Frank or Cung fight Anderson, especially since there is zero chance Paulo is going to fight him, and Okami wouldn't stand a chance, so the organizations need to start crossing over like Randy has been saying.

Frank Shamrock is right about a few things. The UFC doesnt have all the best fighters in the world and to call someone p4p the best in the world is redic. What does it even mean? If the two clashed I'd put my shammy cause he would be a huge underdog, when in fact he would have a very real chance at winning. People dismiss his skills because he is cocky, but the fact is in the last ten years he really hasnt lost a fight. He was beating renzo gracie from his back and dominating him standing. those knees to the body were doing way more damage then renzos lay n pray with a few weak hammerfists.
