As much as i would want Wanderlei to rip the spider apart I think Anderson would win by accurate striking.

I would take Anderson now. 3 years ago ,before he left Chuteboxe and pride, I think Anderson was not near the fighter he is now. Back then I would have taken Wand for sure.

I honestly think this would be one of the greatest fights the mma world has ever seen as far as nonstop action goes. There will be no pussy footing here. Thats right, I just said pussy footing.

Id go about 65/35 (yeah I know thats a cop out) for Anderson. Anderson is younger, more technically sound fighter.
But.... Wand can knock anyone out. If he ditched the whole strategy thing he's been picking up at Xtreme Couture and went at him with the old Axe Murderer mentality of atttack until somone is KTFO, I think he'd have his best chance. Sometimes accurate strikers don't like it when you bullrush them and take away alot of the skill factor.
I say if the make this fight they start them both off with their hands tied in Thai Plum holds. It would be brutal.

Wand would be Killed.
Yeah, I dont think so. Even if he did lose it would be a very competetive and entertaining bout. They are both well rounded and the fight could and probably would take place in every position imaginable.

well everyone who says anderson would ko him in the first round is wrong... im pretty sure chuck hits twice as hard as anderson and wand never got dropped by chuck and he was hit with a lot of good punches. so i dont see the spider ko'ing him, i see wand getting submitted or lose in a decision but not my a knockout. just IMO.

Whoah, did you just compare Chuck to Anderson Silva? Please don't do that.
Your comparing a wild, terrible technique brawler who is not accurate at all who lands mostly arm punches until the shot that KO's you, but if you count arm punches, he still only lands 20-40% of his punches. The rest fall short in front of you or go over your head.
Anderson has beautiful technique and can actually throw a straight. I've never seen Chuck throw a punch that's not looping. Anderson lands 60-70% of his punches hence the reason everybody says he has pin point accuracy, Anderson would pick him apart with accuracy and technique, a strikers best asset.
A KO would be possible but like you said, I wouldn't see it in the first because Wandy is tough as hell. It'd be a 2-3 round WAR!!!

I do not think this fight would have a chance of going to a decision. I think Wand would try to bully Anderson and put the heat on him. Like Nate said Anderson has pin point accuracy and I think his counter striking would put Wand on the canvas IMO.

Wand is acctually one year younger then Anderson! I can definetly agree with the bull rush. I hate getting crowded, as do most strikers, and if you come at them and don't let them get a good look you can definetly catch them.

at this point i dont think there is any way i would pick against silva no matter who he is in there with. wandy is arguably the toughest guy in mma, but silva is a machine right now and doesnt seem to be showing any signs of slipping in the near future.

I REALLY WANNA KNOW WHAT THE HELL EVERYONES TALKING ABOUT?! YOU REALLY THINK WAND WOULD GET KO'D HERE? IT'D BE A TOUGH FIGHT BUT APPARENTLY NONE OF YOU HAVE ACTUALLY SEEN WANDERLEI FIGHT. WATCH HIS PRIDE MATCH'S FELLAS AND STOP BEING STUPID AND BIASED WITH YOUR BANDWAGON PICKS. YEAH ANDERSON'S A GREAT FIGHTER BUT HE'S NOT GONNA WALK ALL OVER THE AXE MURDERER BY ANY MEANS!!!
