I have heard rumors of Wand dropping to 185. Who do you think would win this fight. I think every thing Wand does Anderson does better and Anderson would KO him.

Anderson would murder him IMO. Wandy is a slugger pure and simple. Dan Henderson is a slugger too but he beat Wandy because he had a little bit more technique but Anderson is all technique and Wandy would be running into punches left and right. Anderson has the best ground defense in MMA so the ground wouldn't be a problem.

Anderson by KO 1st round by pin point accurate straight thrown between Wandy's two wild left and rights.

Yea...so much better than Chuck's and GSP's.

But I still agree, first RD KO.

Yeah it actually is

GSP has never fought off his back besides when he was tapping to Serra() so Anderson is better by default. The only time Liddell was on his back was when Randy and Rampage were pounding the shit out of him with GNP in both their 1st fights with him.

I'm pretty sure your getting ground defense mixed up with takedown defense, totally different things

gsp and liddell have 2 of the best sprawls in mma.

Ground defense is when youre already on your back. Silva's guard is really good, one of the best in the sport behind Aoki and... aoki.

I always seem to doubt Anderson no matter how much he proves his ability. lol Its killing me on the picks to as I picked against him 3 times now. I would say Wandy wins but if I had to pick on the site, Anderson

Let's not forget that what Anderson has in reach and crispness, Wanderlei has in experience. Wanderlei has been in some wars, and has the guts to take the fight straight up into Anderson's face, where few have dared ventured. Wanderlei can make it a gritty, close quarters fight, and could use his stocky arms and powerful torso to really put some mustard on his body hooks. That could cause the lanky Anderson some real problems. The last person who I can remember really taking the fight to Anderson was Ryo Chonan, and we all know how that ended. No one else since has really gotten in Anderson's face, and as far as we know it might be his only weakness.

It'd definitely be interesting. My instinct tells me Anderson could stay outside of Wanderlei's reach and tag him up for the victory. Then again, I'm not naive enough to think that Wanderlei couldn't muscle his way in close and dish out some damage.

Still, I'm not betting against Anderson Silva any time soon, so I say his reach and elusiveness take the KO victory. I can't believe I'm picking MW's against top rated LHW's now, but you just heard it. It's hard to deny Anderson's dominance.

I would take Anderson now. 3 years ago ,before he left Chuteboxe and pride, I think Anderson was not near the fighter he is now. Back then I would have taken Wand for sure.
