I saw on MMAFightline.com two-three weeks ago that Lindland signed with a unannounced company, more then likely Golden Boy Productions new MMA company that will be debuting in June or July. So that would rule him out if that is true.
Akiyama or Khang will win this...IMO

That doesn't rule him out of anything, I haven't heard of any mma promotions using exclusive contracts other then the UFC. Yes it is apperently the affliction promotion Lindland has signed with but I've heard theres a chance we could see Kang, Misaki, and Lindland all in this tournament.

yea it seems UFC is the only one with exclusive contracts. that looks like a damm good tour (just need a few from UFC to make it perfect) but isn't Golden Boy Productions Oscar De Haylo's company

The MW div isn't as strong of a div anyways. It's a pretty good tourney, I would have loved to see Manhoef in there but thats life.

that would be great ...imagine kang and lawler sluggin it out, that would deepen the pool, but i agree with cmill here, middleweight is one of the weakest division all around, there arent as many stars world wide as LHW, HW and others. But im liking it right now, im a big fan of tourneys...........i hope kang takes the cake, but akiyama could also take it.

I'm also going to go out on a limb and suggest that Zelg will be added. I also believe that Manhoef will be fighting in this tourney even though he's fighting Aerts(it's Japan it doesn't matter lol). So If I had to take a guess as to who will be fighting it would be: Kang, Akiyama, Manhoef, Zelg, Dong Sik Yoon, Minowa, Oyama, Sakuraba, Funaki, Timura and Tin. So they will need 5 more guys to round the tournament out. I've also heard that yes JZ and Aoki will have a rematch in the second round of the tourney instead of having someone getting the buy.
