Diego Sanchez had an impressive victory against David this past weekend at UFC 82. The win snapped a two fight losing streak for the former original Ultimate Fighter cast member and put him back on track to begin another title run.
Sanchez's confidants appears high as he looks forward to exacting some revenge on an old nemesis.
"One that would be big for my heart and soul would be Josh Koscheck,” Sanchez told MMAWeekly. “The number one question that everyone always asks me is, ‘When are you going to kick that Josh Koscheck’s ass?’ So hopefully, maybe in June or July, we can go ahead and set that fight up.”

Sanchez is going to bring it this time. My boy Koscheck better show up prepared.

I don't think Diego deserves another fight with Josh. Koscheck beat him once already. I think there are enough fighters close together in the division were Diego and Josh have no reason to sort it out....like I said before...they already did. Besides...I am not sure Diego would like the outcome of a rematch.

I would still pick Kos. Koscheck's standup looked aweome against Dustin Hazelett.

I was happy to see that little mariachi band prancin little punk lose the first time and I would be happy to see Koscheck win it again. Koscheck has greatly improved since that fight (Yes....Diego had staph....who cares...I accidentally sat on my nuts the other day but I am over it) Kos would take this one again and I think he could possibly do it standing up or by GNP but again just my opinion

If anyone deserves a rematch its Diego. The guy was so sick he almost retired before the fight. He was so bad off they thought he had hepatitis for a while. If that wouldnt mess with your head I don't know what would. But being a trooper he fought anyways. The next week the kid had a hole is his leg the size of a softball from staph. I really think a healthy Diego can beat KOS.

I can't remember where I read it, but Koscheck all but swore this fight off. He said It didn't make since for him to fight Diego since he had already beat him and it would be a step back. He did beat him and I know Diego did have staph and all which sucks for him, but I am getting tired of all the rematches that are going on, when there is so much talent already in the UFC and not to mention the new talent filtering through, especially at WW. I mean sure a rematch is fine and dandy a year + down the road if there was a reason for it (which Staph is a good reason) or if it was an all out war or close sp/d, but the loser asking for a rematch after one W just seems to be pointless. Yeah that fighter might be back on track now, but the W fighter could have continued their win streak (even tho kosch didn't but cudda happened) then joe silva grants the fight and just brings the other fighter back down. Sorry for that rant, but I personally wouldn't want to watch the rematch it was boring as all get out. Not a big fan of Kosch ethier, but was impressed with his much approved striking skills.

I do agree that a healthy Sanchez will give kos a really tough time.

A healthy Diego and even more mentally strong one, the one he is now, is Kos worst nightmare. Of course he does not want this fight to happen. Diego would school him. He couldn't even dominate a non-healthy Diego and when Kos took him down he immediately flipped him. His transitions are unbelievably good. His striking his better, his BJJ is better. Kos only has the better wrestling but Diego is more explosive and is the better grappler.
He own Kos by winning a late fight stoppage or a dominant decision/

I would have to say Diego deserves this rematch. The guy freaking had one of the worst staph infections you can get! He was so sick for the first fight and that's why it was a boring one. To anyone saying that didn't matter, you must be insane! Something like that means alot in a fight. I did read an article a couple days ago saying Koshcheck would take the fight with Diego if the fans and the money was right. Well, I say lets get the money right and make this fight.

i dont understand all this talk about y diego should get a rematch. he had staph he had this he had that. guess what dont take the fight then. if he won it wouldnt have been that big of deal. now its his excuse. what was his excuse for fitch? why aint he asking for him? kos beat him fair and square. was it boring yeah but watching kos celebrate in diegos face was worth the boredom. kos said it best. he had to wait 2 years for his rematch from the show so why does diego think he shouldnt have to wait.
this fight really dont make alot of sense is another reason. diego just beat david bielk----n so he thinks he should get top 5 guy now? he should have to work his way up. kos has lost since that fight to the now champ. he should stay put in rankings but diego lost twice so he needs to work his way up. give him marcus davis or mike swick (see if he can beat any of aka guys)
