Hendo is 37, he may have one more good run but who knows...?.....maybe he should fight Nate Marquardt or the winner of Franklin/Lutter, hendo was doing good against Silva until he got on bottom and started eating shots, he is a great fighter...maybe he should fight Leben...that would be a slugfest!!

Marquardt would be the best fight for him next, i think if he gets to fight silva again, this time around the fight will go different, not saying he would win, but i think it would be much closer, i think if he did what he did in the first round, he could have gotten that fight....but o well, marquardt i think would be a good fight, not safe, but i think hendo has the edge.........maybe a fight with tanner but doubt, marquardt just seem to fit the bill perfectly........

at UFC 84, Sokoudjou is facing Nakamura.
If Nakamura wins; Hendo vs. Nakamura would be a great matchup.
On one hand he'd be avenging a Team Quest loss, and at the same time he's facing Nakamura again, as their first match in 04 ended after only a minute when Nakamura's shoulder popped out.of its socket.
If Sokoudjou beats Nakamura though, I'd like to see Hendo face maybe a MacDonald or Eastman to pick up a solid W.

i say don't let him miss a beat and give him the Lutter/Franklin winner. we all know that the winner of the Lutter/Franklin would be high up on the contender list, and to have Hendo face the winner makes sense in order to set up his rematch with Silva. i think that Franklin will beat Lutter and a Franklin vs Hendo match gets me really excited. that is another good match up that will draw a lot of attention and will make for an explosive fight. the MW division is actually starting to get a little bit more competitive even with Anderson getting another win. i see the MW division going like this:
Anderson vs Okami for next Title fight (gives Anderson a chance to redeem a loss and also in their last fight Okami appeared to be winning before the DQ. im not saying that Okami will beat Andersonjust saying that is something to remember.)
Henderson vs Franklin/Lutter (most likely this will be Franklin. as i said before a match between him and Hendo gets me pumped and is another high level MW fight that were in short supply last year.)
Marquardt vs Almeida (i know it is soon for Almeida to be thrown into the top of the division but i feel he is up for it. besides, this will be a rematch from Pancrase that saw Almeida with his hand raised the last time they fought. this would make for a great matchup stylistically and will be a chance for Almeida to skyrocket into the top of the division and also a chance for Marquardt to avenge himself. makes a lot of sense imo.)
another addition to the UFC wouldn't be bad either. even though a lot of people have jumped off of his bandwagon of late, i would still like to see Paulo Filho in the UFC. i think that after his rematch with Sonnen which i think he will win he should not move up to 205 and should rather stay at 185 and just move up to the UFC. this is unlikely because of him moving up weight like i mentioned but i would still like it to happen. also wouldn't mind seeing Lawler or Cung Le in the octagon either. especially Cung Le, i think he would shake up the division but i would like to see how he fairs against Shamrock first. anyway, the MW division is starting to get exciting and i feel that Hendo has a really strong possibility of defeating Anderson in a rematch and that we shouldn't sleep on Okami just yet. anything can happen in a fight and with the right match-ups in place Anderson might want to stick around for a while as things get interesting.

i agree with jiujitsufreak74, that Franklin will beat Lutter, and that Hendo vs. Franklin would be an excellent fight. Okami will probably get the next title shot, then the winner should face Franklin vs. Hendo. Franklin is my favorite fighter and I would love to see him beat the dog shit out of Silva, but the truth be told Hendo looked much better against Silva and I feel the fight will go much differently the next time (Hendo has the best chance of beating Silva). Marquardt looked really good against Horn and as someone mentioned him vs. Almedia would be a hell of a matchup for the next contender after the Okami, Hendo, and Franklin thing gets settled. I also agree and have posted before I would love to see the UFC bring back Lawler and they should bring in Filho, F. Shamrock, and Cung Le in as well. Filho vs. Silva would be interesting and I would like to see it. But I really was hoping that Hendo would beat Silva so I wouldn't have admit to my friends that he was the king of the middleweight division, but after the Hendo fight I had to admit it. At least until Hendo or Franklin get another shot at the title.

Dan will be going back to 205, Dana had to go to a lot of trouble to convince Dan to drop to MW, and Dan said the only reason he did it was to face Anderson. He hates cutting the weight, and he was breathinh pretty heavily after 1 round yesterday. The weight cut takes too much out of him IMO,
Dan has lots of great fights at 205.
Chuck, Shogun, Jardine, Forrest or Lyoto, I would be happy with either one of these guys.
Gouviea, Lambert, or Thiago Silva would be decent also.
Dan wants to fight the best, so I say give him Lyoto. That would be awesome.

I would love to see him fight Rich Franklin, that's another fight everybody has been waiting to see for a long time. A move back up to 205 would leave a lot of good matchups too, he actually seems better fighting at that weight.

Sad he's 0-2 in the UFC and everybody thinks less of him now even though he lost to the current #1 and #2 on the P4P list.
I think he needs to fight Chuck if Chuck beats Shogun before he fights Rampage. Because if he can't beat Dan, there's no way I can see him beating Rampage, a man who has already stomped on him twice.

I don't think any less of him at all, in fact with how well he did against both Rampage and Silva i respect him that much more. I feel a rematch with Silva would be awesome, but i definitely think Dan has unfinished business in the light heavy weight division.

Well he's actualy 2-2 in the UFC
But he's 0-2 since he came back.
He has nothing to be ashamed of though. He lost to two of the best in the world.

A Fight between Marquardt and Henderson would be awesome. They are kind of the same fighter. Which in this case is good. They are both good at everything. i think Dan wins by KO/TKo 2nd Rnd

I agree about Hendo being able to beat Silva, still. He showed the ability to beat him in the 1st round. It's just a matter of keeping him against the fence and staying in side control/half guard. On the feet we've seen Hendo can't deal with Silva, but on the ground there's still debate whether or not he can, IMO.
I think this is one of those matchups that can go either way every time these guys fight. My bet would still be on Hendo for a second fight, though.
