Even when he got the mount, he was mitten handing Obrien, he didn't look like a killer at all. I jus't don't know where his fire went, seeing Arlovski looking like he really wanted to win is a distant memory now. It's really sad, there was a time when he was my favourite fighter, simply because of his intensity. Where did it go? I'm not sure even Andrei himself knows.
I don't think he will be resigned, not with a performance like that. Bye bye Arlovski I reckon
I pity him if he actually leaves and fights Fedor. First round sub IMO.
I think Fedor would decimate him with his hands believe it or not. AA is so tentitive now, like Jake Obrian and he's way outside doing nothing? I honestly don't think AA would beat anyone with good stand up right now to be honest. AA and Cro Cop need to go to mental counciling(even though Cro Cop looked good in round 1 against Kongo). I feel for you AA fans, he doesn't look like he wants it anymore.

AA showed he can sure stuff a takedown but damn, that was horrible. He knows his chin is weak so now he's scared and you can't be scared when you fight in the sport of MMA.
They should resign him since he's on a 3 fight winning streak but not superstar caliber money. Give him a 2 fight contract to see if he can bring that killer instinct back.
And it's also in his best interest to resign since most of the UFC HW's are grapplers which he can beat on the feet with that good sprawl. If he leaves for ProElite, you got all of them Houston Alexander street brawlers who will KO him brutally. If he goes to M-1, Barnett would sub him and Hunt would KO him. And if he goes to K-1 DREAMS, he will get outclassed and KO'd by all those K-1 kickboxers trying out MMA.

I wonder if AA is fighting passively to just get out of the UFC. I haven't watch the fight, but if he's really serious about MMA like he said he was, he wouldnt be pawing the other fighter. Maybe this is the "easy way out" of the UFC for him, to fight Fedor? UFC won't want him and theres almost a guarantee of a Fedor fight since there isn't anyone else. just a thought.

R u guys kidding me they threw AA the worst match up they could everybody knows that his weakness is the ground game and he stuffed all but 2 takedowns. His takedown defense was great. And the fight wasnt boring because of AA it was boring cause of o'brien going for the takedown everytime, i think obrien threw 4 jabs the whole time.

that is misinformation. AA's weakness isn't the ground game it is his chin. he is actually quite resourceful on the ground with a background in sambo. just look at how he was able to secure that Achilles lock on big tim. AA has never been submitted and is in fact very formidable on the ground. AA just prefers to stand and for a while he was KOing people who ere imo not at his level. AA's weakness is his chin. he gets rocked very easily and lately he looks to have lost power in his punches. if AA faces an elite striker he will lose, but don't mistake his liking of the stand up as an indicator that he has a bad ground game.

Just food for thought. Maybe its not Arlovksi. It might have been his camp's strategy against grapplers of Werdum and Obrien's calibers...Maybe he was fighting so tentatively because he knew they would be the one to rush in and didnt want to take the risk of getting taken down. To me, staying outside against great grapplers and just picking shots here and there would be an effective strategy. He hasnt faced a quality striker in a while so we wont know for sure til he gets real top competition.

Yeah Arlovksi winning a world combat sambo tournament (youth tournament i think) is proof of this.

True, Sambo doesn't breed any good ground fighters.
