I also think he is a great announcer. I just don't like the way he yells everything he says. I realize that he is excited and passionate but I think he needs to calm down a bit so that we can hear him and understand him. I remember it wasn`t that long ago that he looked like he was taking a huge dump every time he said anything.
But anyway, keep up the good work Joe

Let me tell you after watching that last proelite event and listening to the announcers all I have to say is Thank God for Joe Rogan!!!!!!! I can't believe how much better he is then them.

I have a hard time beliving mike knows that little. I think he is there for the casual guy asking the questions they would want to know. He goes on the Bubba The Love Sponge Show alot and he talks alot different on the show and gets to show his knowledge on there. He is also funny as hell when the censors are off.

I think Joe Rogan is an awesome MMA announcer. He has knowledge of the sport, knows how to explain tactics and techniques to newer fans, and he is enthusiastic about the job
Bas is still my favorite announcer, but I will say Joe Rogan is a very very close #2. Joe knows more about fighters from outside organizations and what to expect from them when they reach the UFC. Bas wasn't always that familiar with new guys coming into Pride from smaller organizations.

Agreed. He's there to relate to the every day Joe Schmoe.
If they put two Joe Rogan's in there, it's a bit too much. They want the non-fan to watch an event and to be able to relate to someone that's asking questions. Questions give you answers and answers make the non-fan more knowledgeable about the sport.
So I actually disagree with anyone who bashes the guy.
