If you think about it, Hendo is the exact same fighter as Chris Ledan except Dan has world class greco roman wrestling. I keep hearing people say all Silva has is the clinch and that's where Hendo will overpower him and get him on the ground. But obviously they didn't see the Leban and the second Franklin fight. He dominated them with kickboxing and then finished them in the clinch.
Then all this about Dan exposing Silva's ground game. Silva is a BJJ black belt and if you watch his fights were he does get taken down, he earlier shoots back up or he controls you from butterfly guard. Nobody has ever dominated Anderson on the ground. Anderson controlled Ryo Chonnan the whole fight on the ground. Ryo wasn't passing for nothing.
I see Anderson picking Hendo apart from long range and not getting close. He'll keep making Hendo run into his punches as he tries to get closes to clinch or throw wild. Even if Hendo gets him down, it's going straight to butterfly guard where Hendo won't be able to do much with Anderson controling until it gets stood back up. Anderson will keep frustrating him with those limbs with striking from long range which softens him up in the 3rd, 4th or maybe 5th round where Anderson finally drops him and Anderson pounces on him and the ref stops him.
Watch the Hendo-Wandy first fight and the Rampage fight. Both rocked him, and at one point Wandy almost stopped him and would of if it was a UFC ref. In the Rampage fight they were just throwing wild but Anderson is ten times more accurate and hits almost just as hard.
Anderson by late stoppage.

Dan HenderSon is going to win! I think he'll pound out a decision against Anderson.
Silva keeps looking past HenderSon, and I feel that's a big mistake.
I don't think Anderson Silva looks past anyone, if you listen to his interviews and watch how he conducts himself, he is a very respectful person who appears to have nothing but respect for the person standing across from him whoever they may be. As for my pick, i've been going back and forth as im sure many of you have as well. I've picked Silva RD 4 KO/TKO but i still firmly believe that Dan could take it to the judges and pull away with a UD.
On the front page of news he's saying he wants to fight Roy Jones Jr...I see that as looking past Dan Henderson. Seems to me like he's saying there's no one left able to challenge him, and he's going to try his hand at boxing. (which he'd get his ass stomped in.)

I found this to be the funniest thing I have read in a while. I even agree with you as to the outcome of the fight, but to say that Henderson and Leben are on the same level, and that the exception is only Henderson's world class wrestling is just too funny.

Honestly, the only thing leben has going for him is his power and he is even out matched there.

Both throw wild, both have huge power while throwing wild. Both have good chins and Leban got exploited with that wild striking and his chin couldn't take that power. I think it will go the same with Hendo. Sure they have been hit hard and stayed in the fight before, but an accurate punch after punch of hard strikes? Damn.

I think Hendo will win personally....he took the best from Rampage and Wanderlei, so he has one of the best chins.
I read a couple comments like no one can pass Silva's guard and Hendo wont. Well look at the Travis Lutter fight, Lutter mounted Silva in the first and was landing bombs until he messed up and went for a poorly set up arm bar so then Silva was able to stand back up...Silva was taken down by Lutter fairly easy and he wa doing nothing on the feet against Anderson, Hendo will be throwin hard and that will set up his takedowns.
All in all I hope its going to be a good fight, I am not saying Hendo will win this, Anderson is top 3 in the world easily, he could take this fight too...I just dont think this is a good style match-up for him.

The poll currently has 25 for Hendo and 24 for Silva!
Interesting to compare with these results from the main event thread
SILVA KO/TKO 44 41% HENDERSON KO/TKO 21 20% SILVA SUBMISSION 5 5% HENDERSON SUBMISSION 2 2% SILVA DECISION 4 4% HENDERSON DECISION 31 29%
Thats 53 for Silva and 54 for Henderson
And people say this is a very competative fight

He had double knee surgery before that fight.
