“UFC 85: London” takes place June 7 at the O2 Arena in London, England. Chuck Liddell is expected to meet Mauricio “Shogun” Rua in the night’s main event.
The UFC hasn’t announced broadcast plans for the event, but MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) was told by a source close to the organization that UFC 85 had been pitched as a possible Spike TV broadcast. The cable station’s executives are expected to make a decision as to whether they’ll carry the event soon.
WOW!, if we get to see chuck vs shogun for free that would be crazy!!!! Kudos to the UFC if they make this happen....2008 so far seems by far the Best year for the UFC and MMA, with PPV events as stacked as 82 through 85, free fight nights like UFC fight night 13 plus a new TUF, now with 32 contestants, and now possibly UFC 85 on the fee market.... Good stuff...they need to do it, I was getting used to seeing the British events on Spike, then they pulled the proverbial rug out from under us with UFC 80.
This would be huge for Spike if they did.

better air it a 3pm
I'm not rich at all, but I rather pay and see it live than watch a tape delay.

I'd rather see the best fights on Youtube the next morning than to sit through 2 hours of commercial breaks.

If this was to happen ........WOW i dont know what to say. I am glad to see the UFC feed the ever growing mass of MMA fans who dont get the PPVs. It pays off in the end for all of us who do. I am just amazed at how MMa has blow up and it shows..EVERYWHERE!!!

Well we already knew this really, they had already said they wanted the International events to be free for you guys, it was just whether they got a CBS or HBO deal in time and if not then spike tv should take it up, but yeah the bad thing is it being at 3pm your time so you either watch it at a crap time or get it on tape delay like we have to with most

This would be a great PPV for free TV. Only thing I'm worried about is there just doing this whole free shows on TV to get new fans hooked. Then there gonna drop the bomb and say everything will be on PPV. Now that would suck!
