Adam Swift at MMAPayout has this interesting tidbit in the aftermath of the CBS/Elite XC rumors:

Multiple sources have told MMAPayout.com that FOX is believed to have interest in MMA with rumors suggesting that the network even went so far as to make a bid on the UFC during recent negotiations. UFC President Dana White alluded to an unidentified network bidder in an interview with Steve Cofield earlier this month.

i like the way FOX does their sports programming & FOX always seems to be more willing to gamble on ideas other tv stations dont so this could be a great partnership......if it ever happens. i bet elitexc-cbs would speed up the process though

better than the wwe picking it up.. fox would provide serious funding, great exposure, and probably a corporate infrastructure that the ufc could easily benefit from

It would make sense with all the commercials on Fox Sports Radio. I'm the MMA guy on the local Fox Sports Affliate in Indianapolis. 1260 AM WNDE and they've had commercials all day along with Hendo being on Rome is Burning and The Jim Rome Show today. This would be a good move by the UFC just as long as Chris Rose isn't commentating.

Fox also likes to **** things up so this might not be the best option. I think that if NBC can get it it and do something like they used to with wrestling every so often it would be the best scenario but who knows really, Spike is really all that MMA really knows ( for the largest audience anyways)

I know a deal with FOX would mean more exposure, but people are forgetting that SPIKE has been awesome! It would almost be wierd turning the channel to anything but SPIKE to watch the UFC
