UFC released today the Fight Night 13 main card. Right now its scheduled for 2 hours but many are bombarding Spike TV to air 3 hours. Link

I can't for the life of me understand why they would air Boetsch/Hammil and Alexander/Irvin over fights like Fisher/Aurelio or Neer/Thomas.

The first two have little impact on anything in their weight divisions. The second two are huge, especially Fisher/Aurelio. I was really looking forward to seeing that fight.

I guess they feel a day on spike is not complete without 16 reruns of CSI.

I don't see why they would put Hammil-Boetsch on the main card over Aurelio-Fisher. Well, I do because of TUF, but I don't agree with it. Hopefully Boetsch can keep Hammil from taking and holding him down and make the fight exciting.

I dont understand why Spike wouldnt air three hours. I have a feeling they could sell a lot more expensive ads during that extra hour than they could showing whatever else they decide to put on in its place.

This is how this even OUGHT TO BE structured. Every bout on the MAIN CARD should go into Preliminary. Seriously, is this a joke?!

MAIN CARD

* Marcus Aurelio vs. Spencer Fisher
* Josh Neer vs. Din Thomas
* Thiago Alves vs. Karo Parisyan
* Clay Guida vs. Samy Schiavo

PRELIMINARY CARD

* Roman Mitichyan vs. George Sotiropoulos
* Anthony Johnson vs. Tommy Speer
* Kenny Florian vs. Joe Lauzon
* Frank Edgar vs. Gray Maynard
* Tim Boetsch* vs. Matt Hamill
* Houston Alexander vs. James Irvin

Agreed silverbullet

although I do believe the Kenflo - Jlau fight should be on the main card it does have a large impact on the lightweight rankings

I think it will be fight of the night

I understand why they are airing the fights that they are. I will just be a little disappointed if they do not extend it to 3 hours and Edgar/Maynard isnt shown. That fight has more title implications than does the Fisher/Aurelio fight.

I'm thrilled about this. Don't get me wrong, I REALLY want to see every fight on the card, but if I had to pick 4 to be televised, the 4 that are on the main card already would be the ones that I would pick.

Alright, KenFlo-Luazon is main card material, but you get my general point.

Youve gota imagine kennys closer to a title shot that clay, and joe, imo, is a better opponent than samy so i dunno why you would rank that fight higher. Also, kenny headlined the last fight night he was in, beating din, so theres no logic in have his fight higher than kennys either. From a guy winning a headlining fight to going on the undercard would be an unusal thing for the ufc to do. The only fights which i think should definatly be on the undercard are goerge vs roman and speer vs johnson.

Im just glad my ufc on demand doesnt run out till a while after this event!

almost every fight has maincard potential, it sucks for us that we wont get to see them all...

if I had to make the card I would have

Karo vs Alves - headliner
Kenflo vs Jlau
Fisher vs Aurileo
Edgar vs Maynard

swing bout- Alexander vs Irvin (probably will be a quick one)

undercard
Neer vs Thomas
Hamill vs Boetch
Guida vs Shavo
Roman vs George Superantaioulouscous
