I would love to see Cro Cop Kharitonov, Cro Cop AA, Cro Cop Overeem, Cro Cop Aleks 2, and Cro Cop Fedor 2. How many of those will we see? I have no idea, but Kharitonov and Overeem are likly, the rest are very much in doubt but who knows.

i dont really consider anderson a pride fighter. he has had just as many fights in the ufc, and is dominating, no doubt in my mind. i didnt include rampage cuz the only real competition he had from the UFC was Chuck, hendo is a pride fighter, and eastman was a joke. plus Rampage is gonna get KO'd by Forrest so he wont be up there for long

I find it all to fun that the topic started off about CC leaving the UFC to Fedor is the greatest fighter ever. I so thought the hole UFC vs Pride thing was dead. Lets give it a rest Pride is long since gone no one is a pride fighter anymore they are either UFC or some other org. Maybe this is best for CC he has a much wider fan base in Japan.

Who has he fought in the past 3 years for you to say he is the best. A lot of things change in 3 years so at this time there are better fighters out there till he proves otherwise. Fighting CC is a step in the right direction but still doesn't prove much. Till he fights a top fighter under UFC rules in a cage he hasn't proved anything. Because the cage and elbows change the hole game set.(just ask CC about how effective elbows are) So you could say he was the best at the Pride rules in a ring.

Its a two way street though...
you could say the same thing about any ufc fighter

They're not proving they're the best because their in the cage, and that in a ring they havent proved anything yet. The ring, soccer kicks and knees change the whole game set(just ask Rampage how effective Soccer kicks are) So with that logic no one other than Nog even has a chance at the #1 spot, since many top fighters dont have the opportunity to fight in both. Which is baffling... especially since fedor defeated him in an enviornment that does not favor his skill set at all. Stomps, knees, and quick stand-ups all are weapons fedor does not use that can be used against him.

If anything Fedor would do better in a cage than a ring: the fight wont be stood up as quick, he could use elbows, and he could use the cage to improve his already exceptional takedown skills.

Wow, I barely got through the first page of this thread before I simply decided to stop reading and reply because I can't take anymore. I've been doing so well lately controlling my temper and this post will break me if I keep reading all the nonsense in it.

I think it's time to avoid any thread that has the word Fedor in it or Emelianenko in it.

I don't know about Fedor earning a shot against Gonzaga. I think it might be the other way around. Besides didn't Gonzaga just get his ass kicked by Werdum.

i guarantee there is someone in the UFC (Randy, GG, Kongo Primarily) that could beat Fedor. hes not god, he maybe a machine but not god. lol
also only 1 pride fighter really "Made it" in the UFC and thats Nog.

Rua, Wandy, Hendo, CC, all have losing records in the UFC

REALLY!
You are obviously neglecting Anderson Silva & Rampage for the purposes of your argument. That makes 3/5 of the current title holders in the UFC came from Pride. What is it you are implying again?
I think we all know that the UFC vs. Pride who has better fighters argument is as lame as MAc vs PC, analog vs Digital, etc....

They are the same but different and anyone who claims otherwise is an ignorant troll. Pretty simple aint it?

Subtitle of the original post:

Yet another chance to roll out your dead horse with Pride vs. UFC spray painted on its decomposing belly & beat the **** out of it without ceasing.

Ok, maybe a bit too long for a title of a post, but still...

CC is a good fighter, who will very likely come back and impose his skills upon many a victem in the near & semi-near future. Its a pity he didnt shine like many/most of us thought he would in UFC, but in the long run, his comeback to the UFC could be more of a draw than his immediate domination would have been anyways.

Fedor is a winner, even tho if you look at any one of his skills, he likely doesnt rate higher than a B+ in anything. JJ, wrestling, standup, mu thai...all are around B+ level (at best) yet he still wins (and usually impressively). He reminds me of a cockroach, in his survivability & versatility. Oh, and no...I wont be saying that to his face, should I ever be fortunate enough to meet him

Randy...is Randy. Say what you want...compare records, ways/times he's lost, the fact he's a "tweener" (LHW/HW)...no matter what, Randy has made a HUGE positive impact on the sport and if NOTHING else, should be honored for that fact.
He is a fairly well spoken, fairly charismatic, fairly clean-mouthed man in an era of Dana White & Gary Shaw.

(bonus prediction: In 2008 or 2009, Randy Coutour starts an MMA organization that actually puts a small ding in the armor of UFC. All predictions guaranteed wrong, or your money back)

You notice I didn't toss any names out there and thats for good reason. But the fact still remains Fedor hasn't fought any top 10 HW in 3 years. In a cage or in a ring. So it only fair to say the fighters that have fought top 10 HWs and won are better than Fedor as they are taking on top fighters and winning.
