There used to be a Vietnamese resturant that had jack fruit shakes, and they were great.

Eww, really? To each his own I guess. I can't stand the smell of jack fruit

Wow... I'm surprised of some of the things listed here, but everyone's got their thing or whatever...

I'd like to think that I'm not a very picky eater, but for me...

tripe soup... can't even stand the smell of it

This fish thing my mom used to make... It was like chicken-broth flavored jello with peas and carrots and peices of boiled fish floating around in it, I don't even think she ate it, but my dad loved the stuff, soooo...

Creamed collard / turnip greens

I'm sure that I am probably the only one in the world, but the taste of pancakes makes me gag. It's a childhood thing... never liked them, but always had to eat them when they were made. Tried them again not too long ago and about lost everything in my stomach.

As for smell... I used to repossess foreclosed houses, and people always seemed to leave behind some meat product. This stuff would sit in the house for 6 months before we ever got the go ahead to repo... so any kind of meat that is even slightly past its due date gets me a little queasy.

A friend of mine won't eat pancakes. He's always hated onions and when he was younger, his family had gone out to breakfast @ IHOP (or some other breakfast joint) and as he was eating his pancakes, he felt a crunch in his mouth...there had been an onion in the batter when they were cooking the pancakes.

Of course, the guy is probably one of the pickiest eaters I've ever met, too.
