Yea pretty much a horrible summary of the book. Ive read it and the guy must not like Hughes very much. If you go into the book and you have a strong dislike for Matt Hughes this is the summary of the book your'll get.
However i find when you go in neutral you find the book entertaining and actually a very well put together book.I personally would recommend it.

i no longer have any respect for matt hughes, the guy butchers baby pigs takes their intestines and testicales and throws them at people in a sort of hillbilly "joke" or whatever he calls it, this is just sickening

Wow. He seems like a total dick if that summary is true. Some of the stuff in there is pretty disturbing. It kinda makes it seem like matts got some serius mental problems tbh.
 some of that stuff seems pretty weird, I haven't read the book and I won't read the book; I heard it wasn't that good anyway. If what is said in the summary is true then......wow....just wow.

Ok I have read this book and this person who wrote the summary is taking a lot out of context a few examples im gonna skip around through the chapters
He said in chapter 12 about leaving his son at the TUF training center which is true he forgot him there, but thats all this person wrote he must have forgot to say Matt got on the phone to Rich Franklin who was still at the center and was watching his kid.
Chapter 1 was just kids being kids nothing bad and IMO the book was a bit boring
Chapter 3, the dad was a piece of crap it seemed from how he was portrayed in the book and it was his dad who was always calling Matt's mom stupid and dumb and things of that nature. The Motorcycle thing was the end result after family theropy which his dad wanted no part of. His mom and Matt and Mark left after that, his fathers behavior was the last straw.
Chapter 4 it says ' he makes light of the fact his college buddy couldnt read or write' his friend Marc Fiore couldnt read or write and was leaving the college until Matt and Mark tried to talk him into staying trying but he left college, and they went to their wrestling coach to talk to the coach to get Fiore back and finally the coach and Fiore talked and he came back to school and got help with his reading and writing.
Chapter 4 continued, the 2 kids did drown. Matt never went to a party that night he said he was shaking from the shock and called his brother Mark. He ended up working to stay occupied to keep his mind off of things and told his manager that.
Chapter 6 the ADCC's him and 'the other guy' Jeremy Horn found out quickest submission gets $1500 and best throw gets $1500 so him and Jeremy faked the fight and try to collect the $3000. The writer fails to mention one of Renzo Gracie's fighters walked right into Renzo Gracie and was guillotined in seconds.
As you can see this writer is a Matt hater and twists and turns and even lies about things that went on in the book. For those who have read the book know the real deal, Im not a Matt fan at all but this writer's summary is laughable.

The book really is pretty bad. Hughes paints the same picture of himself that everyone else does, and that is bad. Hughes, other than the hilarious Trigg bashes and comparisons to his brother, and his recalls of fights, is pretty honest about doing some really bad stuff, or he was way worse and toned it down(which is a bad thought cuz they did some bad shit)
Anyway, assuming he was honest, and not being a fan of matt hughes the person, I say props for honesty.

It aggrovates me in the fact that they could have been bacon in a few years. I think alot of the earlier things mentioned are funny, but I am wondering how he isn't in jail for statory rape.
I was a hardcore Matt fan when I came into MMA about three years ago, but after being on the Matt Hughes forum and seeing him on TUF I lost all respect for him as a person.

While I'm sure this summary isn't entirely true, it made me laugh pretty hard and I approve of it. I'll probably check the book out of the library soon.

Its telling that people who have read the book have said this is true. Can this guy be prosecuted? This is one of the sickest most disgusting things I have ever heard. Its obviuos that even people close to him dont like him, cause his agent and publicist would not have let him release a book like that if they liked him. Look at the effect he has on people. Every time he brought up other fighter it was in a negative light. He trashed and tried to ridicule fighters who are nothing but classy. He bashed them and even brought up personal things that are nobody's business. That was shocking and pathetic.
