I just threw Jens Pulver out there in the HOF thread a few days ago, i wasn't expecting this many people to be down with him... just doesn't seem like a whole lot of Pulver love on this site, but i guess its just beneath the surface. I think Pulver is a shoe in for a HOF spot, and i hope he can wipe the smile of Faber's face! Go Lil Evil!

I would have to give Pulver a definate yes on the UFC Hall of Fame. The guy basically helped the Lightweight division get started (along with BJ Penn). So that alone should get him in. He's also had some of the most exciting fights I've seen. Nuff said.

Just do not see him a Hall of Famer, he does has a good record but as far as being a good spokesperson he really has not done much in my eyes. It take more than just a great record to be inducted. Someone has to be a pioneer in the sport, be a great representative in the sport and become a household name to be considered for any Hall of fame in any sport. Becoming a champion is one thing but having a champions personality is another.

He has a great record but, just seems like he missed his chance to become more of a fan favorite. Could be wrong timing.

Even if he came back to the UFC and fought a record of 2-3-1 he would still be in for his past.

Are you kidding me!! It easy to tell you don't know much about Jens.

Compare Pulver's accomplishments to what others in the hall of fame and those are are soon to be have done. Pulver pales in comparison to the exploits of Liddell, Couture, Hughes and Ortiz and so many others. Pulver should get props for what he has done, but there is no way that he is elite enough to garner the level of UFC hall of famer. The only people he has beaten worth noting are BJ Penn and Caol Uno, every other major fight he has had he has lost because he swings for the fences.

I respect Pulver and his heart, but just because he won a title one time does not mean he is a shoe in for the hall of fame.

The fact is he is undefeated at 145 isnt he? Thats pretty dang impressive when you consider the talent he has faced and beat.
Of course Pulver gets in IMO.
And of course he was the reason the UFC now has promising lightweight star.......Joe Lauzon!!

He will but it will be in a longer time than we expect. A couple years from now, I think people will see his accomplishments as way more important to the org and he will get in. I believe Penn will get in first though

i could see either side, i think he does based on him being the only champ until they lightweight division split, however isnt it sort of his fault the ufc lost the lightweight division cus he left or was it the penn/uno 2 draw that resulted in a failed resurection of the division (BJ got screwed on that fight) or something else, im not sure why the lightweight division left for so long, but most likely he will go hall of fame someday
