NEW YORK, January 23, 2008 –
His duties are:
will oversee the contact between the IFL, its current athletes and other athletes in the sport, as well as working to create potential future matchups and cards both internally and with other organizations. He will report directly to IFL CEO Jay Larkin.
Good for Bas. I know he's a busy man, but I can't think of anyone more deserving to be the figurehead of an organization. Hopefully this helps the IFL out in contract negotiations and matchmaking.

You have to love seeing Bas expand into this role. I hope they can turn the IFL around. They have a lot of potential, and Bas might just be the guy to bring some additional credibility to fighter negotiations and maintaining/expanding the IFL's roster.
