Watched the Liddell/Jardine fight again on Unleashed last night. Very close and entertaining fight. I wouldn't mind seeing a rematch.

BUT, I agree that Jardine would have nothing to gain and everything to lose in this fight.

I hope they schedule Liddell & Jardine against different opponents. Then later in the year we get the rematch. If both of them have good years, then the winner of that fight would get a title shot.

The LHW division is so stacked that 2 or 3 guys get "screwed" everytime the next title fight is announced. The UFC has a tough job in matchmaking within this division.

Personally, the sooner they schedule Liddell the better. I love watching him fight.

Jardine already beat him up. I say give Keith someone else that can get him closer to a title shot and have Chuck fight someone else too.

Agree 110%.

I think the UFC has too many rematches too quick.
Most top fighters only fight 3 times a year at most, and I would like to see them fight 3 different people.

Just my opinion, but I think at least a year should pass before any rematches are allowed, and even then it should be a scenario where it is an important fight for determining contendership ranking.

IMO, Keith Jardine should be fighting Machida next for a shot at the winner of Jackson/Griffin.
It seems like a slap in the face to Jardine if he has to fight Chuck again so soon. Almost as if the fight did not mean anything as it didn't even push him up in the rankings.

As for Chuck, I would like to see him fight RTS or Shogun next.
RTS has defeated Arona/Lil Nog in 2 of his last 3 fights. This would be a super exciting fight with two guys that want to stand and bang. Would also give us more info on if RTS is for real in the UFC or not. This would NOT be an easy fight for Chuck.
Shogun is in the same boat as RTS. Seemed dominant in Pride, but didn't show well in his UFC debut. I don't think there is anyone on the planet that would not want to see this fight. They could market this as "Shogun seeking to avenge his teammate's loss."

everyones saying jardine has nothing 2 gain ... a win over chuck liddell a more convincing won ... is alot 2 gain if he can stop liddell theres no question in my mind he should fight for a title ... and if liddell wins this 1 he will still have 2 fight someone else again ... but hey i see everyones reasoning

I think Chuck-Jardine rematch is a great idea. Any split-decision fight should have a rematch right away, or a.s.a.p.

You all have great points, but I still cant believe how much shit people still talk on Liddell, yeah he had a hard loss to Jardine but he just man-handled Wanderlie Silva, who is one of the most dominant 205 lb. fighters of all time...Liddell is a legend and is ALWAYS worthy if not deserving of a title shot. You can say this and you can say that, but the fact is is that when Chuck shows up to fight, he has a chance to beat anyone. I do agree though that Jardine deserves to move up the ladder, but these two do need to fight again, the first one was the worst I have ever seen Liddell fight.....I say give Jardine someone else and then these two need to lock horns again.

Chuck vs Rashad would be a great fight for Chuck he would just do the same thing he has done to every other grappler/ wrestler he has ever faced and knock him right out.

There are so many different opponents that you can plug into a match with Chuck. Keith Jardine, Wilson Gouveia, Rashad Evans, Thiago Silva, and so on. I know the LHW division is pretty stacked with talent but didnt Brandon Vera say before the Sylvia fight that if he lost he would move down to LHW. Just something to think about...
