i'm gonna go against the grain here and say sherk will win. mainly due to the fact that bj's cardio is questionable. however if bj comes to the fight in shape, he could pull it off. also i can't see sherk getting submitted, but if anyone could do it, it'd be bj. sherk by UD.

BJ wins. Sherk relys on raw strength and wrestling, but BJ is used to dealing with Biger stronger guys, so that shouldn't be a huge problem for him. The biggest concern I see for BJ is Sherk will be a tough guy to finish. He is so hard to submit, because he is so strong, and as we saw in the Franca fight, he can take one hell of a shot. So I hate to keep saying what eveyone knows, that BJ has questionable cardio, but it will be a factor. However I think BJ is going to be more motivated then ever, and will come into this fight in the best shape of his career, even if he tiers in the later rounds I think he will have it sealed by then and Sherk will be worn out from taking a beating. I'm going to say Penn by UD, or mabey a late sub.

bj wins because his jiu jitsu is superior to sherks wrestling.

I should have a template for as many times this has been asked lol. I think this fight will go the same way the GSP vs. Sherk did. BJ will land some hard shots in the stand up while Sherk trys to get the take down but gets stuffed(maybe even putting Sherk to sleep). Then BJ will get the take down and GnP Sherk out or get the Rear-Naked.

ufc 80 should have demolished any doubt people had about bj. unless you didn't watch it, weren't paying much attention, or are just flat out dumb, this fight is a no brainer. IMO bj's gnp will be more effective than sherks, especially because BJ's BJJ (lol) will give him some defense if hes on his back, which may neutralize the only thing sherk is good at. franca and bj are on entirely different levels, which will also make a huge difference. on the other side of it, if bj get sherk onto his back he'll either sink some nasty blows and force sherk to keep the fight standing (which he'll lose there), or bj will take his back in a scramble like he always seems to do.
sherk is a whiny, one-dimensonal fighter that was more enamored with having the belt than defending it. sorry home boy, but you cheated and got off easy. that belt is not yours and never should have been in the first place. be grateful you even have an opportunity to make it onto bj's highlight reel. bj will demolish sherk, he's never had problems with wrestlers, especially one who lost his "edge".

FFS you can add all that to a poll!
If you cant be bothered to make a good thread on what will be a very popular subject then wait for someone else to make a good one!
