that shot shows how the rear naked choke puts the pressure on the head and so the blood ends up shooting out rather than just dripping, really good shot

Damn. Right when he sinks in the rear naked and squeezes.
Gotta give Joe credit though. He definately has heart and keeps coming.

that fight for a title was more mismatched in level of skill and experience as pitting bj penn against jens pulver last year. Stevenson wasnt ready for a title shot, he aint beaten anyone yet ?? Should of put ken flow against penn, at least kenny would have had a chance !!!!

i have a new found respect for joe daddy, even though im ecstatic that bj won. i really like the way he came out round two aggressive and acting completely oblivious to the gushing torrents of blood covering his face. sure, fights like these dont help to improve mma's image, but i saw a kind of perserverance and heart in joe daddy that professional sports is severely deprived of.

That was a lot of blood gushing out. I remember when Stevenson fought Yves Edwards, he opened up a huge gash on Edwards that was drenching the canvas with blood.

this may sound sick but I COULD NOT STOP LAUGHING FROM DISBELIEF, that was just too much blood it was simply a fountain, it made me question weather ground elbows should be allowed but i dont really care to change the rules at all
i like to see blood in fights but that was like watching hostel part 2 where that girl is stabbing that other girl hanging upsidedown bathing in her blood

that event made me wonder about elbows all over again too. i just hate to see a good fight stopped, and despite the domination this fight could have gone on a lot longer if joe hadnt had to push the pace before he bled out.

In a non ufc post fight interview BJ said he felt bad about. He also said he never has cut anyone like that before. I'll see if I can find it again.
