Fighting in the US with no soccer kicks or knees to a downed opp? This could be a better match than people think

Wandy has to use his knees, either from the clinch or catch Hendo coming in for a takedown. But I definately think that the rules do favor Henderson as the stomps and kicks are a big part of Wandy's game.

Wand could be in for big trouble if this fights goes to the ground early. Henderson has a excellent ground game and could tap the ole Axe Murderer. Sure Silva has a good ground game too but Henderson's is better. If Silva keeps the fight standing up, which im sure he wants to do, and avoid takedowns he'll drop Henderson

Don't expect a submission from Hollywood Dan. In his 21 victories, only 2 have come by way of submission. One was in Brazil in 1997 . The other at a Rings event in '99; the technique he used has been defined by some as "knee to the ribs." He uses his world-class wrestling to work for strikes. Dan will be looking for a KO.

Silva has never been submitted in his pro career, I doubt Hendo is the man to do it. Although Silva does not tend to rely on submitting fighters don't let this fool you into thinking that his sub defense is not one of the best in the business.

I think no matter who wins it goes to a decision. Both really tough guys with good chins. However, if Hendo Ko's him pride will have just shot themselves right in the crotch. Wandy's a beast but Hendo did beat a much bigger, stronger Vitor. Also, he hung with Big Nog for a while, which makes him an automatic HOF'er in my book. Wandy should win, but as it was already pointed out the lack of pride normal rules hinders Wandy far more than Hendo.if Hendo did somehow beat Wand IT would Ko from that Right hand, cut , or injury. Hendo made the mistake of trying to prove his standup against Misaki, instead of taking him down. If he's smart he'll go for the takedown and GnP .

I just want to see this fight end with a great finish. Either a devastating KO or a quick submission. But with regards to Wand, the case would be somewhat interesting.

The Axe Murderer has used a submission hold to win in only ONE of his 31 victories. Wanderlei has never been submitted. Dan has been armbarred twice, both times by a Nogueira. The ONLY submission you may see in the fight is a verbal one due to strikes. Even that is HIGHLY unlikely; both men have the heart of a lion and would be pounded out before they concede. Someone will be KO'd or TKO'd. Leave the word submission out of your vocabulary when discussing this fight.

I think Hendo is going to take this fight by decision. I really think Hendo is going to be able to nuturalize Wandy's stricking by closing the gap and taking Wandy down. The rule change will hurt Wandy and it's going to give Hendo the edge when it goes to the ground. The second fight will probably in Japan, to get Wandy back on track if he loses. I also have a feeling that Wandy is going to be a down slope after the knockout from Cro Cop, but I could be wrong. I just feel bad for little Nog, he is the one that deserves to be there.
