Ah, how many great stories throughout the history of the world have begun with a woman? Probably too many to count. Well, add the story of Fabricio Werdum to the list, and if one day he ascends to the heights of the UFC’s heavyweight division and straps a championship belt around his waist, somewhere in Brazil, there will be a woman wondering what might have been.
Werdum will have no such daydreams though, and in fact, an early embarrassment turned out to be not only the impetus for his jump into Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, but eventually, mixed martial arts, which has become a pretty nice vocation for the native of Porto Alegre, who faces old rival Gabriel Gonzaga in the UFC 80 co-feature on Saturday in Newcastle, England.

he has done it before and he can do it again. they are both very different fighters and GG may be a slight favorite but werdum bjj is better than GG's and he has been working his stand up very hard from what ive heard...im looking forward to an all out war, and i dont know who is gonna win but i certainly wouldnt count werdum out.

I like Werdum. He is way better than he looked against Arlovsky. He is a smart fighter I think he'll come prepared. I want to see a war. He'll have to be aggressive and let loose cause Gonzaga is a dangerous dude.
Fight of the night... maybe.

if he looks past gonzaga as just a fighter he beat he will get ktfo, but anyone who can submit aleks is dangerous, i have to go with gonzaga however i think hes gotten better overall since there last fight
