I know much probably won't come out of this besides hype & speculation, but part of me can't help but be very intrigued and just a little bit excited about this.

There’s no telling what possibly can be the reason Emelianenko and Couture plan to meet other than to draw more attention to the dream match up.
I think that says it all. It is too grab attention and keep people interested. They are probably trying to get enough attention to try and bully the UFC into copromoting a show.

Hey maybe Randy can get Fedor to sign his cast. (He re-broke his arm checking a kick in training last week)

Gonna be the same stuff different day. They are gonna say how much they respect each other, and they would be privilaged to fight each other, and then a bunch of MMA sites will have a topic on the lines of "Could this be the begining of the fight to settle who's best?"
Talk all they want, nothing is going to happen until Randy gets things worked out with the UFC.

Blah Blah Blah...Just co-promote the fight already! Even if it was just that one single fight I would pay to watch it! But then you have to ask what if Couture loses...What would that do to UFC's image as having the "best fighters" in any promotion.

My guess is that Dana White will hold a press conference for no reason at the same time they are scheduled to meet that day.

looks like they will settle the debate of who the best Heavyweight is by throwing down at the local burger king. Winner gets all the whoppers. and a burger king cardboard crown.

Lol you guys complain non stop. There meeting, take it for what it is, they're not going to fight. My guess is they'll talk about when they will, where they will, and what rules if anything fighting related at all. They're not going to try and bring the UFC in on it, they are both going to get there money, it will be shown in Japan if K-1 is involved and it will be shown in the US on ppv. They don't need the UFC, they have their poster boy

Well Mark Cuban was the major sponsor of Randy's poker tournament, so you just know he's doing his best to get tight with Randy, should be interesting to see how it all plays out.

I read late yesterday on Wrestling Observer that the meeting apparently is over a clothing deal, Fedor supposedly has/will have a deal with Affliction, which of course does the lines for Randy & Xtreme Couture. But yeah, hopefully we'll find out more soon after.
