Grove seemed to be on the fast track to stardom in the UFC. After winning TUF 3, Grove managed to reel off two consecutive victories in convincing fashion before being stopped by Patrick Cote in the first round of their battle at UFC 74. Since that fight, Grove has rededicated himself to the sport and is looking forward to righting the ship against Jorge Rivera at UFC 80 on January 19. Grove sat down with our friends over at CagePotato.com to discus a variety of topics.

Though I picked Cote winning that last fight, I think Grove is a great fighter and will win his next fight. He is in my parlay on wagers

Kendall has alot of talent but without the discipline he wont last long in the ufc, because there is too much talent.

NO WAY...I don't think Jorge is going to do well with the reach and accuracy, if he KOs Grove it'll be a suprise shot like Cote's.

Personally, I don't really care about the whole smoking weed deal. I find it more amusing than anything.
Should be a good fight. I'm surprised at how much Grove is favored in the sportsbooks though.

Kendall has so much potential, he should really work his standup cos he good be a great sprawl and brawl fighter, that kind of height and reach advantage helps him in every area, the Cote loss was just a blip imho

i think his jits is too good to turn into solely a sprawl and brawl guy and i dont completely know about his chin. id prefer to keep seeing him brabo guys.

I don't think it was a blip, I think Cote is the better fighter and is finally getting his rhythm in the UFC. He's gonna do well in the UFC and get at least a couple more wins IMO. Kendall is good too but I don't really think he'll go far in the UFC.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think Cote will hold the title or even fight for it (unless the division stays really weak he has a chance with more wins) but he is a good fighter who is dangerous against almost anyone in the MW division.

I hope the weed helped dull the pain of Joe Riggs caving his face in. That was a brutal fight.

I agree, I had Cote by Rnd 1 KO. I couldn't even picture Grove winning that fight. He's a long long way from contention.

Yeah Cote is now solid and dangerous to all MW's, but i still think Kendall is better. He just made a mistake in that fight. Oh and Jorge is no slouch, i am surprised he's such an underdog in the upcoming fight.

I do think Kendall will beat Jorge even though I don't like him very much. I want Jorge to win but I can't see him beating Grove in this one.
