Dunno... He's got a rediculous record though. He's only 32 so Nate isn't as advantageous as one might think. I'll have to think on it for a while.

No, I don't think he ever retired. Anyways, I am glad to see him back in the UFC. He is a classy guy and always willing to stand up to fight anyone. Nate will be a tough task and to take this fight on such short notice will put Horn at a huge disadvantage. Nate should win this one. Horn will put up a good fight, yet the only way he wins this is if he pulls off a slick sub. on and I don't see that happening.

I would say the odds definitely favor Nate, but you can never count a veteran like Horn out. Especially Horn actually. He is an extremely smart and talented fighter who can steal a fight from anyway. Also Nate is more of a ground gamer and I don't see him tapping out Horn. Horn has impecable Jiu Jitsu and pretty decent muay thai. I don't know we'll just have to see.

I wish it was Thales vs. Horn more but I think Marquardt might get the Ko.
man, even with injuries, UFC 81 and 82 are stacked cards!

First off I just wanna say it's awesome Horn is back in the UFC, atleast for now. We could easily see one of the most exciting ground fights in years since both fighters have a combined 63 submission wins, Horn with 49 and Marquardt with 14. I'm really not sure who to pick for sure. I'll have to ponder on it for awhile.

^ Agreed, its definatly a good thing to have Horn back in the MW mix. I think it should be a close and exciting fight, but im not sure who im goin to pick yet. Hopefully he can add some much needed depth to the division and maybe this will be a start of a trend of the UFC signing more 185ers.

Looks like with Tanner and Horn coming back the MW division is starting to pick up. It is just two guys and it's a start so maybe more will come.
Good to see him back though I think he'll be able to beat Marquardt.

This is a better sounding rematch than I expected, though I was looking forward to the original fight, this is quite the replacement! I'd still have to give Nate the edge currently but Horn is always game and very experienced. Should be a good one.

Horn, despite his growing knowledge and technique, is declining in terms of his dominance and physical strength. i know he is still relatively young, but it has been clear he has been declining since his rematch with chuck although not too much. i give the JJ to nate, the strength to nate but the knowledge and experience to horn. overall i say nate wins this by decision or KO, i don't think horn will get caught in a sub unless nate pulls some ridiculous lock from guard, but i see nate on top for the entire fight. i have to give this to the former King of Pancrase.

Horn is a great coach, a great teacher a overall good guy. As far as his actual MMA game, its kind of one dimensional. Every guy knows Horn is going to for the submission. His stand up is decent but IMO this fight will look like the Chuck vs Horn fight with not as many knockdowns, and there wont be a finish. I look for Marquardt to take it to Horn for 3 rounds.I dont believe Marquardt has enough power to finish Horn on the feet. But i dont think he will want to take Horn down, because thats where Horn works best. UD for Marquardt by peppering Horn for 3 rounds with the occasional big punch. I think this fight is shaping up to be a boring fight.
