Forgive me if I missed some news in the last 2 years, but has Vovchanchyn retired? What is his status? I used to love watching him fight I believe his last appearance was at an '05 Pride event. Where is he?

Yes Igor is retired, he hasn't faught since Nakamuira beat him but there were some rumors that he was going to fight Wandy at Pride 34 but that never happened. And I think he's training with Bart Palaszewski, Vladimir Matyushenko, Andrei Arovski and Jeff Curran

I would love to see him come back. I know a couple of guys who train with Curran and Andrei, I'll see if they know anything.

yeah I Igor was one of my favirotes, and still is.The guy was at a time one of the best strikers in the game, and will probably become one of MMA's "forgotten legends",as I like to call them.

Ah yes, Igor, this young sports king Without a crown. The most intimidating fighter ever IMO, and also arguably the greatest never to grab a belt. I'm sort of glad he went out before he was totally old and shot, but it would be cool to see him fight again.
