As reported by The Fight Network, Bart Palaszewski and Deividas Taurosevicius will get a rematch on April 4th. It's not hard to see the winner getting a shot at Ryan Schultz, whom Palaszewski has already beaten once.

This has to be the longest matchup ever in terms of fighter names. Article also indicates he's defecting to a team associated with Arlovski...UFC jump in the future as a result?

Sschultz was gonna pummel Palaszewski in their first fight. Schultz just got caught. I see Deividas winning again but I wanna see Horodecki/Schultz III. They both have one win over the other so it's only right they face each other again. plus, Horodecki is my favorite fighter. WAR HORODECKI!!

I don't read anything into it yet. Palaszewski trained with MFS for years, I think, and there was never a whisper of him leaving the IFL.

The first one was a good fight, but I think I have to give Bartimeus the edge in the rematch. Of course, I said the same thing going into his rematch with Horodecki...

I haven't seen it, actually. I'll have to go surf YouTube on my lunch break.

There's been no official announcement that the winner of Palaszewski-Taurocevicius will get a title shot, that was just me speculating, so who knows..? Personally, I don't like immediate rematches, unless the fight ended prematurely, like a freak injury or a DQ or something. For Horodecki, I'd like to see him get a couple fights before another title shot.
Regardless, the IFL's Lightweight division looks mighty interesting, at least for the first half of 2008.
