Former UFC fighter Phil Baroni says that he has received offers from EliteXC and WEC recently, as well as an offer from Japan.

Why does he rip on the WEC? I enjoy the WEC. There are some great fighters in there. Plus, he would only have to fight a couple of guys to get a shot at Filho with his reputation. He isnt going to get an easier shot at a guy of that caliber in many organzations.

The right Paulo Filho takes down Baroni and subs him easily.

I would like to see Baroni back in the UFC, he is an exciting fighter. I read that Dana was going to give him a UFC contract if he beat Frank. BUT as we know that did not happen.

Chael got the better of Filho on his feet and Baroni is a better striker than him.

Filho would do to Baroni what he couldn't do to Chael...take him down...and that's the difference.

I want to see him sign with the WEC out of the options he has. He could do some stuff down there and maybe since Zuffa owns both they could bring him up to the UFC.

I didn't say Fihlo by KO now did I? I think I said Fihlo by sub and Chael is a great wrestler out of Team Quest so subbing Phil i=would be painless and quick.

I see him going to Elite/XC also, he feels that the WEC is the minor leagues you know....He said he wanted to fight for a big company and for the title. Then I think Elite/XC is the place for him, if he wins a fight or two he could duke it out with Robbie Lawler!!! That would be a good fight!!

If he is smart he will go to japan where they will cater to his weaknesses

If he wants to compete he will go to Elite they are groing a strong stable of fighters

If he thinks he has a chance at eva being the best he will go to WEC and hope someone in the UFC breaks a leg so he can fill in and get a chance......

Phil is the type of person that belongs in the spotlight wherever he ends up. He truly has one thing that many fighters strive for but can never have, personality. If nothing else, he is entertaining from the time he walks out to cage, in the cage fighting and until he leaves the cage. I personally enjoy watching him and I do hope he ends up in the UFC and if memory serves me correctly, isnt the UFC looking to bulk up their 185 lb division? Dont know why they wouldnt be interested in Phil. Like he said in the interview, he paid his dues. Heres hoping he gets some respect from the organizations.
