"Two Hunters" by Wolves in the Throne Room, Southern Lord Recordings, 2007. Dreary, Norwegian-style black metal from Oregon. Here's "Vastness and Sorrow."

---

"Nu Med" by Balkan Beat Box, JDub Records, 2007. Nutty worldbeat klezmer electronica with horns. Here's "Bulgarian Chicks."

---

"Kala" by M.I.A., Interscope Records, 2007. More nutty worldbeat electronica. Here's "World Town."

---

"The Silver Tree" by Lisa Gerrard, Rubber Records, 2007. Ethereal mood music. Here's "Come Tenderness."

...you?

Gnarls Barkley's debut CD came out last year, which makes you wrong twice. Sorry, I hope you have better luck with your next post.

The only good albums I can think of right now are 50 Cent- Curtis and Kanye West- Graduation

Everything else sucked majorly like Soulja Boy (wtf is that crap?)

"United Abominations" by Megadeth. Not too many good metal bands left out there, glad to see a great metal band still kickin ass just like they did back in the day. Not the best album they've ever done, but certainly a good one.

Wow, I don't really follow what is out and new too much. I totally loathe what's on the radio. I can't stand pop and hip hop.

The only thing that I know that was out this year was this single

The Grid - Put your hands together
Origin England
Genre(s) House, Techno, Ambient house
Years active 1990-1996, 2003-present

I've been a fan of The Grid for over a decade and am pumped about their new album coming out in 2008

Achilles, wasn't The Silver Tree released in 2006?

One that was released in late 2006, but I only discovered it this year when Harii Kakoulli sent me a friend request on myspace.

She Wants Revenge "This is forever" is a great album. Also, Alex Winston's debut is awesome

Not many of you know this, but I write music reviews for a site called Music-Reviewer.com . I'm sort of new to the music review business, but I am not new to the music love business. I listen to a bit of everything, and here are some standout albums from 2007:

Rock/Alternative
Foo Fighters-Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace
MiGGs-Late Nights & Early Mornings
The Killers-Sawdust (my favorite band)

R&B, Rap, Hip Hop
Alicia Keys-As I Am
Jordin Sparks-Jordin Sparks
Kanye West-Graduation
Chris Brown-Exclusive

Country
Rascal Flatts-Still Feels Good
Big & Rich-Between Raising Hell and Amazing Grace
Brad Paisley-5th Gear
Kenny Chesney-Just Who I Am
