Canadian middleweight fighter Jason MacDonald comments on the recent news that The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 3 205-pound winner, Michael Bisping, has decided to drop down a lower weight class. It might be a pretty good scrap if it ever happens.

I think this would be a great matchup and would legitimize bisping if he could pull off the win

McDonald has a lot of potential his ground game is excellent, but he has absolutely no stand up......If he worked his stand up a lot this could be a good match.....

Good fight. Lets hope it materializes. I got MacDonald winning via 1st or second round armbar from the bottom.

talk is cheap, its not like macdonald has made this huge impact at MW in the ufc, 3-2 is not exactly a belt contender record.

It is if your name is Forrest. But besides that I do agree with your point.

i think its a big possibility that this two will fight, since macdonald is rumored to be fighting at ufc 83 in Canada, which seems like a good time for bisping to make his move, i see this fight going to bisping by TKO in the second, i highly doubt it that macdonald will pull out a sub, so i say bisping drops jason and GnP for the finish, or jason tries to go for a takedown but he is stuffed, so he pulls guard, bisping pounds in for the ref stoppage....

One thing that I am looking forward to seeing in this fight is to see if Jason has improved his standup. He is a tall guy and should learn to use his reach in his fights, but he has got a lot of work to do on this.

I give the striking advantage to Bisping too, however, I don't think Bispings strikes can do enough damage to stop MacDonald, and if it goes to the ground I believe MacDonald will be able to submit Bisping pretty easy. I give this fight to MacDonald and he'll kill another TUFer.

I want to see this happen, I think Bisping would get the win......although it could be a really good fight.

with all due respect forrest is 6-2 in the ufc, plus he beat shogun which is worth any two of macdonalds wins put together.

I dont know how you can rag on a guy when his only losses in the ufc are to okami and franklin. Obviously this guy doesnt deserve a title shot, but its not like bisping is comming in with the reputation that he's gonna wreck the division. Jason McDonald is probably around 4th after silva/hendo/franklin/okami.. having him fight bisping will give the fans and joe silva a great idea as to how bisping measures up.

Think this would be a good initial test as a MW for Bisping. Bisping TKO for me, if he can handle Rashed on the mat I can't see MacDonald doing much damage if it goes there.
