is starting to look amazing

Silva vs Hendo
Franklin vs Lutter
Fitch vs Gono
Koscheck vs Hazelett
Halverson vs Gurgel

Yeah, it's looking solid already! Too bad I'll be in Basic Training and miss it. Oh well, I just hope Gono keeps it up, and that the main event turns out to be as excellent as it promises to be on paper.

Hmmm im afraid i have to strongly disagree! Good fighters but not very competative fights, Franklin and Fitch should win pretty easily, the Kos fight is good cos i like Hazelett and he could sub Kos with his lanky legs but while its a good main event it doesnt look that greater card, CERTAINLY not event of the year

Plus its utter bullsheet if Fitch does fight Gono instead of Karo

... Gono had a good debut agaisnt McCrorry(sp?), but Fitch has earned a bigger fight than this IMO... I guess it has something to do with Karo waiting it out for his title shot or something?

As for the card... It's starting to shape up pretty well, Silva / Hendo of course will be a great fight... Franklin should bang on Lutter relatively easily... Fitch will UD Gono... Kos will probably UD Hazelett (unless he can pull out the sub)...

And maybe I'm the only one... But please Joe Silva, if you're out there, STOP put Gurgel on main cards... Or any card at all for that matter... I thought I'd seen the last of him after that beating Robinson gave him

I just don't get why they have Koschek and Fitch on the same card, but not fighting eachother. The way I look at it, they both beat Diego, who beat karo, so they're both are both right behind st.pierre-hughes-serra for title contention. Why not have them fight eachother for the next title shot? Dont make sense to me.

I think it has something to do with both of them training at the same camp, and them not wanting to fight eachother because they're good friends

Hendo> Silva
Fitch> Gono
Koscheck> Hazelett
Halverson> Gurgel ( Jorge has been horrible in most of his fights. He even lost to Jason Von Flue!!)

Now onto, what I see as, the important matchup. Franklin vs Lutter. Two Middleweights, one obviously greater than the other. However, the apparent lesser of the two has shown that he could possibly beat Anderson Silva, while the other has been dominated twice.

So lets assume Hendo beats Silva and Franklin beats Lutter. I'm sure we'd see Franklin vs Silva 3. But how would Franklin beat Silva? I can't understand why he wont even attempt to take Silva down. Its been proven thats the only way Rich might be able to beat him. I cant see Franklin getting a shot at Hendo without going through Silva. Thoughts?

it looks like a solid card, but i dont want to say card of the year, im not overwhelmed by it. im really hoping gurgel is left off of the televised portion of the card too, im just not interested in seeing him at this point, and i know CC wants to fight soon so im holding out hope that he gets added to this one ASAP.

Yes I agree.. There are some popular names but I am not crazy about the match-ups...

And it is pretty sad Karo not fighting Fitch.... oh well, Gono is a tough character and im hoping he beats Fitch and takes him off his victorious streak..

I think that Lutter and Hazelett both have good chances at pulling off upsets.

Me too man, especially Lutter, if he can get Franklin to the ground, it'll be extremely dangerous for Rich.

dont forget that Evan Tanner is returning to the octagon at this show, and also rumors that Andre Arlovski could be returning in March (this is the only event in march announced...so far atleast)..... so his fight would drop the Jorge Gurgel fight to the undercard...

I think that would be a solid maincard

Kos vs Hazellet
Fitch vs Gono
Hendo vs Silva
Frankllin vs Lutter
Arlovski vs tba (maybe Kongo or Cro Cop)

swing bout
Tanner vs tba (Leben maybe..Herman....Bisping..)

I like Jorge but I don't understand him. He supposed to have world class bjj but tries to stand all the time and ends up getting his head beat soft.
