Big John McCarthy, who officially joined The Fight Network December 7th in a full-time role, will make his broadcasting debut on December 14th in Montreal, Quebec.

McCarthy will team up with his Fight Network colleague, Mauro Ranallo, to call the English broadcast for TKO 31 “Young Guns” from the Bell Centre. McCarthy will provide color commentary for the event.

TKO 31 “Young Guns” airs on Pay Per View on January 4, 2008 at 9:00 pm.

if he is good i hope he finds his way into being a UFC commentator, maybe take out goldberg...

I'm happy for the guy,but you at least think the UFC would give him his first shot at commetating.Or at least give him a mini celebration for all his contrabutions to the sport.I don't even think it got mentioned on fight night did it?I fell asleep so I didn't catch it all.

I watched out UK version which may have beens lightly edited but im pretty sure there was no mention of it, although Goldie did say his "best in business" line in a slightly more blatant way, odd they didnt want to mention it but i guess he isnt a ufc employee and it would be dodgy to make it seem like they are tight with a ref who is meant to be completly impartial

Goldberg is the voice, MCCarthy would be the knowledge, so chances are he wouldn't replace Goldberg as much as sit aside him....
