It appears that the “Big Plans” UFC President Dana White had in store for Quinton “Rampage” Jackson do indeed include a stint as coach on the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF).

White made the “major announcement” during tonight’s VGA broadcast on SpikeTV.

I figured....he kind of blew it last night when he said that Griffin was the #1 Contender and he would be fighting the other coach at the end of the season. When about will this fight take place? June? Also...why MW, I would think that it was time for the HWs again.

It's because the middleweight division in the UFC is the weakest so they are looking too add some new talent to it. The heavyweight division has some solid contenders already but middleweight doesn't.

As excited as I am for the "new changes," I don't think that will matter. The big thing is that Rampage and Forrest are the coaches. Both of them are true fan faves, and there will be at least some initial excitement from the fans. I think that they saw some of the declining popularity this year, and they want to bring some life back to the show.

As for personal thoughts, I am going to love this season. The only part that I won't like is picking a team to root for. In seasons past, I have always rooted for one team over the other (mainly because I liked the coach). But I like both of these guys. It's going to be really difficult to pick. Anyway, it should be a great season. I'll be watching!

Cheer for Ramapage's team. (they're better already)

Also I'm really hoping that these "changes" to the show don't mess it up too much. Havin the boys gettin drunk and ****** up the house is one thing but in the end, the training and fighting are pretty pure. Hopefully Dana doesn't try to go too hollywood with this or it may end up being a joke.

I like the choices for coaches. It's gonna be interesting to see Rampage as a coach. The fight with Forrest sounds good too.

And when it's over, it's likely Rampage-Griffin for the LHW Title, so it sounds like Rampage won't fight again until at least summer.

How are they better already? Just because you think Rampage is a better fighter? Well take it for what it's worth but Forest basically handled Shogun who kicked the sh*t out of Rampage.....

Now don't jump to conclusions, I am probably going to pick Rampage to win the fight....ALTHOUGH DAMN I LOVE FOREST! It will be one of those cases where you pick who think is going to win but cheer for the other guy....

I'm a fan of both Rampage and Forrest, with that being said, I really have no problem with this they are both injured and would have been out till around that time possibly a bit earlier, they will able to communicate with each other more because they don't hate each other..and of course I expect some random funny quotes from both of them

good call on the weight class! who in the ufc can stand up to the "spider". dan does not want the fight and lose his pride belt. if he cant do it (beat anderson) get some new talent, that weight class is bare. bout time some new fighters come in that class. anderson has gone through all the big people in that division. personally i think the ufc is not doing a good as it once was.

Hendo WILL beat Silva......The reason why Hendo took the fight is because some people said he was afraid of Anderson.....Please. This isn't Rich Franklin we are talking about......

Remember when "BIG" announcements used to mean things like they signed a great fighter or something...

Now they're just about who the next coaches on a reality show are going to be??? Color me disappointed

For coaching duties i agree that this is a pull out all the stops move by the UFC. They are going with there two funniest fighters ever. i have no problem with this.

But Griffin does not deserve a title shot. This is completely stupid. Since he has been in the UFC he has only beat 1 quality opponent. He has 2 losses in his last 5 fights. This is not enough for a title fight.

Stupid Stupid Stupid
