If this fight happens it is scheduled to take place on March1st. I was wondering if Lutter was ever going to make a return and I guess he's still on terms with the UFC.
I think Rich takes this fight by KO.
Any thoughts?

This would be an interesting matchup. If Lutter can get Ace to the mat, then there is no doubt in my mind that he can submit him. Franklin would be the favorite, but it would be very difficult for me to pick him as this is a tough matchup for him. I would say that Lutter would submit Ace.

this is an interesting matchup but i think it would make for a boring fight. rich will pick him apart for a boring ud. but if it hits the mat lutter can and probably will submit him.

I think Lutter would win with his superior wrestling and BJJ.

should be a good fight , hope it happens, but i see rich knocking him out at the end, it would be nice if rich would fight somewhere like vegas or so besides his hometown what does he need fan support to get by his matches??

Ugh, anyone but Lutter! He shouldn't be in UFC after that weight-missing debacle before his shot at Silva. Obviously if it happens I will pull very hard for Franklin.

Anyone who would pick Lutter is fooling themselves, and whatever thoughts they have on the topic are the reasons their records aren't that good. Lutter doesn't have superior wrestling, yes BJJ, and finally his striking is nearly non-existent.

no kidding.. i've heard so many people refer to lutter as "world class jj" "if it goes to the ground he'll definately get the submission". He's obviously got submission skills with 7 of his 9-4 being subs but name an elite fighter that he's subbed. People have this idea that those who have elite jj will dominate anyone who is merely well rounded. Hughes almost submitted royce gracie and hughes is a wrestler. Franklin's bjj might not be at the same level as lutter's, but as a fighters, lutter is far from being on the same level as franklin.
1st round gnp victory.

Rich may not be as skilled at BJJ as Luter, but he will take Luter out. He is stronger, larger, and will pick his ass apart. 1st round GNP stoppage!

Should be a fun fight but at the same time...who cares right? Both of these guys are not even second best anymore now that Hendo is in the mix. i thought maybe they would of given Okami to Lutter but Franklin needs to fight someone I guess.....
Would they ever put Franklin up against Silva again? It's going to be a thorn in his side forever....
