I agree, but the fact remains that if Tito would have trully beaten Shamrock at UFC 61, there would have been no need for a rubber match at UFN 7... as far as him making a comeback, I can see what you mean, it wasnt the same Shamrock who was the first King of Pancrase and first UFC champion, who demolished his competition, but it was a still a decent comeback which allowed for alot of great fights...

I think the 3rd Tito and Ken fight wasn't a bad thing because ken has another payday for the fam and Tito gave him the respect he deserved for helping UFC become the Mega sport it is today.

I don't think Ken needed another payday at this point, hes been one of the highest paid MMA fighters for the longest time now... and again, if that 2nd fight wouldnt have been stopped, they could have had their words after it just the same I'm sure... and as far as Tito being respectful, did you not see him to the gravedigger act, flip the birds and wear a ken t-shirt after the fight?

having watched UFC from the get go it was great having Ken come back just to see how he would fare against the new breed of fighters that went with a well rounded approach to fighting. I thought he represented the "old school" very well considering he was older than most guys and didn't have the BJJ background that is now like taking math in high school, totally required. It's hard to let go for guys like Ken who lived and breathed MMA for so many years and who in the hell is anyone to say he shouldn't have come back when this sport is the man's life.
Looks like this topic got hijacked.

He already hinted to it, but it won't be in the UFC I wouldnt think... most likely an IFL superfight against another coach...

Dude your digging yourself in a deeper hole.

How could he not handle the pitbull or cro crop? He is a wrester he would be focused on taking them down not striking with them DUH! I'm not saying he would beat them, but I really dout he is gonna try to strike with them.

If all you care about is stand up game then watch boxing. Big Slam KO's are pretty exciting too.

Well that's a good thing and i truly hope he does well on Showtime, and i never questioned his wrestling, but again that doesn't mean he has a stand up game. As a heavy weight that truly is a must with Arlovski and Cro Cop to deal with.

Do you know when his first fight in Showtime is?

Cro cop and Arlovski have ground games. he might put up a fight but not win 10 out of 10 times. it would take alot of winning before either would even look in his direction.

I am a bigger JJ fan that stand up, but strikes and elbows on the ground can throw a game plan out the window of the wrestler head.

angle wouldn't even be thinking about this unless he had plenty of stand up training and his coaches felt confident enough in his ability to throw him in there, he has too much to risk, like a stellar wrestling career, to try to chase a pipe dream.

I totally disagree ... how does it make it look like a joke...

It will bring even more fans to a better, and real sport how is that a joke.

It's good for MMA.

Don't forget kurt was also a gold metal wrestler, and thats not fake. He has a chance in MMA if he learns all aspects of the game.

And if he doesn't we get to see a pro wrestler get KTFO

Pro Wrestlers havent had a great history in MMA, Except Barnett and Saku. But Kurt does have a Huge Amateur backround. I cant see him havin muhc sub or striking skils though. So he might just be a smaller, higher paid Bob Sapp.

i disagree as well if he wants to fight he has earned at least one fight to show if he can compete in mma. if he wins then your statement will look retarded, he would be a huge draw if he can compete

Kurt Angle might be a joke if you're a WWE/TNA fan...but if you look past that Kurt Angle is a serious athlete who did really earned a gold medal in the olympics for real wrestling.....as long as he dont bring his same "fake" WWE personality with him it will all be ok,so stupid WWE fans dont come to the fight and start chanting "you suck" when he enters the cage

i would like to see slug
