First off, nice job. Looks like it took a lot of time and was done thoroughly. One mistake I did find was:
Randy Couture def. Chuck Liddell via TKO, UFC 43. Defended 1X**
Randy couture defeated Tito Ortiz at UFC 44 thus gaining the light heavyweight belt.
P.S. very good post
Yeah, but he won the interim title against Chuck, so wouldnt that be concidered LHW champ?

Yes. Sorry, I should have specified that this is when he became the undisputed LHW Champ.

Does anyone know (not just guessing) the UFC's rules on interim champs? I mean are they technically the real champ, like in this case when he beat Chuck he became the interim champ, then faced Tito, who was also the LHW champ. I've always been curious over this...

It's a bit strange. Normally you have to beat the champ to be the champ. But with titles being vacated that gets a bit strange.
Linearly the Bantamweight/Lightweight Title goes Jens Pulver > Duane Ludwig > Tyson Griffin (as far as I can tell that's his first loss at 155) > Frankie Edgar
Lightweight/Welterweight Title goes Pat Miletitch > Carlos Newton > Matt Hughes > BJ Penn > Georges St. Pierre (all is well here)
Middleweight title goes Dave Menne > Murilo Bustamante > Dan Henderson (at the pride WW GP because otherwise he was fighting at 205) > Kazuo Misaki > Paulo Filho
This one's fine with a tournament because it was the first round.
Middleweight/Light Heavyweight Title goes Frank Shamrock ::: Tito Ortiz > Randy Couture > Chuck Liddell
Heavyweight Title goes Mark Coleman > Maurice Smith > Randy Couture > Enson Inoue > Mark Kerr > Kazuyuki Fujita > Mark Coleman > Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira > Fedor Emelianenko
If the tournament isn't counted because it made some shifty passes there it's
Mark Coleman > Maurice Smith > Randy Couture > Enson Inoue > Igor Vovchanchyn > Tra Telligman > Pedro Rizzo > Sergei Kharitonov > Alistair Overeem (he hasn't fought at HW since)
UFC is going to have a hard time getting the MW title back from Filho, unless they buy him.
Lightweight Title will likely end up where it belongs quite quickly. Frankie Edgar's a strong contender, and if he gets beaten whoever beats him will eventually fight for the title.
HW title they can probably get back too since Overeem's prospects of winning a title in Pride are limited and he'd make for an exciting fighter in the UFC. If you think Fedor has the title, then they have to buy him.
Pride Titles LW: Takanori Gomi > Marcus Aurelio > Mitsuhiro Ishida > Takanori Gomi > Nick Diaz - that'll probably get solved soon, they're supposed to have a rematch
WW: Dan Henderson, or if you count the tournament, Dan Henderson > Kazuo Misaki > Paulo Filho
Henderson vs Filho has to happen
MW: Wanderlei Silva > Dan Henderson (or if you count the tournament) Wanderlei Silva > Ricardo Arona > Mauricio Rua
HW: Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira > Fedor Emelianenko - all is fine here
2 out of 5 of their titles are actually the linnear title holders. So I'm not sure it matters much how the interim title works because it's fairly arbitrary.

I believe Tim Sylvia had one title defense after defeating Rodriguez, but before he tested positive for steroids, against Gan McGee.

So was Mir the intereim champ then since Tim's title was stripped?

No. No need for an interim title if the title is stripped.

So Mir/Sylvia was for the title then?
Also it doesnt help with the whole Randy/Tito interim situation...
