Has anybody heard if, or when he is going to fight? Last time I heard Royce Gracie was going to train him for a show possibly in Feb.

Thanks for that, after Puder i'm not suprised Angle is bitching. Fair enough however that he's choosing to go back to what he knows.

From what I've heard (rumored) is that Lesnar signed with K1 Heros and was scheduled to fight in Feb. Like I said just rumored...

On a side note, I just read an interview in grapplers quest or some other MMA magazine with Angle.... He had some pretty outlandish statements... "I could've been the best ever..." stuff like that... But as the magazine reported: The UFC contacted Angle after the Atlanta olymics about signing him, but Angle had to decline because of some sort of neck problems (It was stated that he won an olympic gold medal with broken vertibre (sp? ie. neckbones), if you want to believe that) It also discussed Pride contacting him about fighting there, but I think the reaccuring neck thing again or something. He's a pretty cocky guy, who I guess is a world class wrestler and claims to be training for MMA right now. He also mentioned that he was friends with Randy, so who knows maybe Team Quest could make something out of him. Sorry about the lack of source, I'll see what I can scrap up.

more power to him if he wants to go in there and try to prove himself in a real fight, but either way the interview was entertaining at least. Like I said I'll try to find out which mag it came from.

There is an article about Kurt Angle in last months RealFighter magazine. In it he says that Lesnar has signed with K1 and that he is seriously considering taking an mma fight. It is alot of him (Angle) talking about how other college wrestlers have suceeded in MMA and how he could have been the best. It is possible, he did win an olympic medal. But it sounds like sour grapes to me. If he does foray into MMA, I will be a big supporter. Perhaps the article and the rumors are a way to test the waters on what his fans think of the career switch. But this fan thinks he should shit or get off the pot. Fight and I'll love you. Wrestle and I'll love you. But shut the hell up.

Problem is whether he can take a good shot on the chin and come back for more, there are a lot of elite college wrestlers that have done well, there are also many that haven't, perhaps back in the day he could have dominated with takedowns and GnP, but nowadays you need a lot more

I think his many years as a pro wrestler shows he can take a shot in the chin. How many MMA fighters can take a fall from a steel cage through a table onto a fallen opponent?

There is a big difference mentally between a rehearsed fall off a steel cage compared to somebody trying to punch you to knock you out cold

Pro wrestlers are tough, I am not disputing that for a second, but MMA is not rehearsed and your opponent is trying to hurt you bad, that is a completely different mental challenge
