Looks like Varner is getting his title shot sooner than (I) expected. I figured he'd need to win another fight, and had tipped him to win the belt later in '08. It'll be interesting to see whether he's up to the challenge sooner rather than later.

Varner (13-2) has never been KO'd, and McCullough (15-3) has never been submitted. If Varner doesn't make the same mistake that Crunkilton did, this should be an interesting matchup.

I wondered why McCullough/Varner was on the card, but not being talked about.. I had expected him to be fighting on the card considering how he said he was fighting next in November, and November is almost up, and this upcoming event was the only one closest to November. I guess Razor needs to let his press people speak instead of him. Still interesting match up. I expect Razor to come out with a win in this one.

Jamie seems to be maore than capable of grabbing the takedown and putting the fight into his world, but he still has to keep Rob down and get the finish without making a mistake and losing position. Against a big physical guy like Rob (who I'm assuming is working hard on his grappling skills) This could be easier said than done. I definitely think Jaime has a chance, but I don't have enough faith in his overall ability to carry him around the physicality and striking prowess of Rob just yet. So for the time being I'll say Razor Rob by TKO.

I could see this fight going either way. Jamie should definately give Razor Rob a good fight.

I have never seen Razor's ground game though, which will worry me. Hopefully he's not Houston Alexander, and can go toe-to-toe with Varner on the ground.

Jamie Varner will beat rob, and probably do the worm afterwards.
