I do. I see Houston Running in wild and Thiago having those quick instincts to jump down and take Houston to the ground and submit or stop him. Or since a little girl punch from Jardine rocked Houston I can see Houston jumping in and Thiago catching him with a huge punch to tat big ol dome of houston.

I do too. Much like the aforementioned suspicious chin exposed by Jardine, I see Thiago being able formidably weather Round One, unlike most everone believes, and see a different, less explosive Houston in Round 2 or 3 even. At the 200 m.p.h pace Houston sets, there is no amount of cardio that will have him running that through 15 minutes without GASSING at some point.
We've seen only a couple minutes of this guy, and what do we know. He is explosive from a close range and from within the clinch, so if Thiago can avoid the clinch methodically, he can surgically stick and move.
Most importantly, I am suspicious of his ground game. Besides the fact that he dodges the question in interviews by saying "I'm gonna keep that a secret until someone can get past my first line of defense", there is the fight footage from an old bout of his.
Go to MMA Videos on this website and look up Houston Alexander, then watch the whole fight. He gets mounted against the ropes and REFUSES to be repositioned in the center of the ring, and consequently, loses as a result. I think his ground game consists of trying to avoid the ground altogether, and as seen in his last bout, popping right back up. But really how few strikers in MMA have the take down defense and ability to spring up besides the Iceman. If Thiago can get him down, keep him there, my hunch is he'll panic like a fish out of water (that's him on the botoom panicing fyi) and bam, quick TKO for Alves.
That's my theory on how this fight will go down...
Or Thiago Alves will get viciously KO'd in under a minute. Take your pick.

LOL !!!
edit : everything below is no longer valid !! LOL
Man you are funny !!
you are basically not giving Houston any credit because he won ONLY by KO and you want to see him winning by GNP to beleive he is for real !!! LOL
it is a double standard when it come to move down a guy who TAPED against Forrest and he is still there 3th in your ranking like nothing happened and the guy who beated him is 7 spot behind him !! funny !!
so according to you , if a champ lost a fight against lets say the #6 guys, you will still rank the losing champ in from of the winner !!!
i know i am no longer in the Houston discution but it is relevent when it come to judge the level of a guy.
2 real KO is the best ways to prove that you are for real , if Houston was winning by LNP you would say that the guy's cardio is good but we know nothing about his KO power !! LOL
come on man, the guy won his 2 last fight very impressively and against real fighters, so give him the credit that he deserve and wait before declaring that his ground game is a joke.
we did not see his groung game in the UFC in the present years at his actual level of conditionning and training .
P.S. i am still happy to have you in my team !! LOL
