During Saturday’s “EliteXC: Renegade” event, Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson posted a questionable 19-second victory over MMA veteran Bo Cantrell. However, cries that Slice’s opponent took a dive appear unfounded, especially in light of some post-fight findings.

I have no idea why people would say cantrell took a dive
I mean its not like when ali with the phantom punch, It was probably Bo Cantrells first time on tv fighting and mix that in with the fact he was fighting a guy who is known for breaking peoples faces up
I dont think the punch or the elbow really were enough to stop the fight
On the other hand who even knows if it wasnt legit shots. Its not like we were in the cage taking the hits from Kimbo

When I seen this fight that was my first thought. Cantrell was tapping before Slice even got near him on the ground. And the shot that knocked him down barely even touched him.
But then I thought maybe he was just there for the payday and didn't care if he lost. So fix or not I don't think it looked good for EXC

If that was the reason then he isn't thinking about a potential future in MMA. This kind of allegation can ruin a career.

I watched the fight and in my humble opinion he just wanted out. Its not Kimbo's fault, i believe he was there to fight-but Bo didn't want to fight and if thats all he's got he needs to get the hell out of the fight game. People pay good money to see guys fight and that guy didn't really seem like he wanted to fight.

What a dumb article, after reading this article it makes even more sense that the guy took a dive. Who would go out of their way to make up crappy excuses for a guy that came in and got beat, makes me suspicous.
Here is a better rebuttal, look how old Slice is, do you think the EliteXC is going to have a fighter throw a fight to rest their laurels on a black grizzly adams(well more ripped than grizzly too, but griz has a way better nickname) or if you want another reason, this was not an upset, people throw fights either to win a lot of money or to make their prized fighter look indestructable via rumors of Pride offers to Rampage.
SDtill not sure if it was thrown, but if it was I do not think Slice is amazing anyway, I did not know half the fighters fighting on thecard and they did not even show Yves Edwards, Shaw must be an idiot.

I was pretty pissed that they did not show the Yves Edwards fight as well......out of everyone on the card he was probably the one i would have wanted to see the most!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cantrell felt that body punch and he knew he was in trouble, he tapped because he was scared.

he looked scared once he saw kimbo dude is scarry after you watch his fights I can see kimbo going far as a stand up fighter waiting to see his ground game. He also has a hard chin or maybe a hard beard

I think he took an elbow to the temple, and because of what Kimbo can do to someones face he just tapped out of fear.
